Hey all,
Keen to know what level I can start aoe grinding large groups of mobs…I’m almost level 21 an with that I’ll have 2/3 improved blizzard.
I heard level 22 onwards?.

I think duo mages can do it with arcane before that lvl, but then respec later… Sorry not a mage, but I’ve heard things in the wind.

level 22-23 depending on your gear, you will want to go into wetlands near the tunnels to loch modan, there are some gnolls there. 4 large packs with several patrols, one group has a caster watch out for casters and patrols they WILL get you killed. You might also want to find some “of the eagle” gear as it gives int and stam. I found that with 1300 mana i had just enough to kill most of the mobs and have the rest flee, but more will always be better.
EDIT: The area in wetlands is to the east of Dun Algaz, its by the lake.

Oh…alliance…not sure if my information is relevant. 
You definitely can do it earlier than level 22 with arcane. There was a spot in the barrens that I leveled until I could handle higher level stuff.

Thanks, going to try at 21 as I’ll have the required talents and my gear isn’t to bad.
Just need the 2/3 improved blizzard as I try with 1/3 but they aren’t slow enough and reach me before my nova off CD lol. I don’t have Cone of Cold yet either

Yeah it’s definitely doable with the right gear and spec… I’ve done it before on previous mages and am setting myself up for it now.
All my gear is int/stam pretty much with a couple pure int pieces. I don’t like to start in the early 20s though I usually wait till the 30s. Personal preference.
I hit 32 tonight and just put first point into improved blizzard after going with the frost dps talents with previous level ups. 30 and 31 I went with the CD reduction on frost nova. That 4 seconds saved can be very helpful.
It will take practice so just don’t get discouraged. I was in Wetlands the other day at 23 questing on the gnolls and saw a 25 mage die 4 times trying to AoE grind and had about a 6-8 minute run back each time.
That’s a lot of wasted time. Another reason I prefer to wait till the 30s… more talents and gear makes it easier.
