Well… sort of, they pushed through the change then after millions of people quit they went back on it and now we have the current passive aggressive time gated system.
I don’t see boosts generating anywhere near that amount of quits, especially after the people it will draw in + the $$$ from the purchase.

A change that everyone hates and asks to be reverted every single expansion. Most of the time flying doesnt arrive until a year into the expansion.
They dont care about that and it isnt a money maker. Boosts make money, so im betting they stick with it
When we are level 70 and wanting a tank and/or healer to run PUG, will it really matter if the character who shows up was boosted? Would you really know?
I’ll amend my statement: Will boosts affect the game for me? Possibly for the better.

This has all happened before and it will happen again. Boosts are bad enough but they will not be the end of it.
If this goes through wow tokens and other microtransactions will subsequently be made available and it will eventually lead down the same path, mark me.
The only way to identify a boosted character might be their gear, which will be replaced within hours of questing in Outlands.

How many of us have a Death Knight in retail? Demon Hunter? Boosted toons. Led to more tanks.

I’m curious… Will they give some new, made-up blues? Or the Dungeon set? IMO, the dungeon set would be sweet.

Only problem with the dungeon set is that for hybrid classes, it’s all crap 
I wore the rogue set on my druid for the longest time
All they said was dungeon items so it’ll be interesting to see what they do.
The retail boosts are literally just random junk greens.
Man, I hope they give melee the Hand of Justice. People will lose their $h17.

Paladins and warriors are a chore to level. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a fair number of those boosted (yes… I’m aware of what races can’t be boosted…)
pray for me, I’ve chosen a spacegoat warrior…at least I’ll have the benefit of leveling alongside a shaman…

I picked herb/alch for my warrior. Kinda helps to have a ton of healing potions.
Enough. I cant speak for everyone of course but with the people I know there was zero interest in classic. Thats about a 40 person sample. Of those 40, about 10 or so have mentioned TbC.
Also, take an survey like that with a grain of salt.
