This is how you do a ‘remaster’ to bring the visuals of a game up to current standards, while maintaining the “feel” of the older visual.

I picked the Classic forums since it’s T2. Doesn’t really fit in with Wrath since we’re at T9.
Plus, lets be real. If Blizzard “remastered” Classic they’d just open up the texture files in Photoshop and ‘Sharpen More’ them. 
They would never go and put any effort in re-imagining the sets; making use of the new tools and better end-user systems.

That is what Blizzard was copying 20 years ago, they just could not get quite there with the limits of PC’s at the time to be able to play the game; is why graphics were so basic back then; they wanted even the players on really bad PC’s to be able to play… it was a wise choice because that made the game more popular because most anyone could play.

Just the “remastered” visual would suit retail best imo. Not sure I’d want to see it in Wrath either tbh. But any effort like this should go to retail as that is their flagship Warcraft product like it or not.

Not saying it is. But I doubt Retail’s forums would have appreciated it as much.
This was more of a ‘if they did it, this is how it should look’. Which is to say, they should put effort into it, and not just use some ‘AI Touchup Tech’.
((And, as always with visuals, I would advocate it be an Options setting.))

Generally I agree.
However there is a reason why suggestions to spruce up Classic Era (or the mythical “plus”) have been shot down in this forum over and over again.
Enhanced graphics are available in another Warcraft product. Let them have that defining quality.

I like fan art and things of that nature as the occasional desktop wallpaper but it ends there. Its cool to look at but I prefer the game stick with the original graphics.

I was explaining why the graphics were as low poly as they were in 2004, and where the style came from.

I think it’d be a good thing, a classic+ with better and sharper designs and a classic feel.
