Mad about tokens? but why?

The real reason people mad about the token… they believed blizzard lol.
Just remember they created an item called Chronoboon. Where was the uproar then? #nochangesexcepttheoneswelike . Im surprised it took them this long to put the token in.

I’m more mad they lied about it being to combat the bots that they’ve ignored since classic released. They’re doing it out of pure greed. Just own it and say, “we are doing it because we want more of your money”, don’t come at me and claim you’re trying to fight the RMT that’s going on in game with more RMT. The only difference is that the token is double the cost of the gold sellers gold and that blizzard gets to pocket the money.

The reason doesnt matter, they dont even have to give us a reason, idk why they did tbh. Its funny how the community can rally against the wow token, but not care about the store mounts that come with 6-12 month sub, or the tcg tabards.
Once the chronoboon was added in classic, the floodgates were opened. Was a matter of time before they added everything, including token. I woulda bet money we had token in tbc

The mount is garbage. It dismounts in water and interrupts Shoot for rogues and warriors.

Seriously? Don’t you remember blizzard literally removing /spit from the game because the majority of the playerbase would spit on players riding the mount? The forums were on fire against the boost too.

That brings a smile to my face. I must not have been around at the time.

at least TCG was IN wrath

Which was honestly just as dumb as the token “outrage” is. “How dare Blizzard monetize something the playerbase at large is already paying gold sellers for.” they typed while being mage boosted in SM.

The playerbase is doing so because blizzard has taken 0 action against RMT since classic release. They allowed it to get out of hand knowingly, even promoting GDKPs because they knew eventually they could cash in on the gold selling just like they did in retail and shills like yourselves would pat them on the back for it and claim that it was your fault and not theirs.

All the backlash should have been for XP buffs and boosts, not tokens.

No shilling here my guy, I just find it funny how many of these so called “problems” the playerbase has had over the course of classic are a direct consequence of their own actions (Having queue times at the start of wrath while people were cramming themselves into mega servers), or losing their minds over Blizzard condoning degenerate playstyles while they and everyone they know are actively doing the thing they’re losing their mind over (Boosts and wow token).

Much like the consequence of blizzard not enforcing RMT in game leads to lazy players not caring that they could get banned and this buying gold, telling their friends how cheap and easy and risk free it is and then they buy gold too. All of it would of been averted if blizzard enforced their own rules in the first place instead of ignoring them so they could profit off the bots and eventually the token. But keep shilling. I’m sure the Dev team will appreciate you thanking them for doing nothing for you.

Everyone

I don’t know anybody using boosts, but I don’t know a lot of people at the moment due to all the transfers that have gone on recently. I’ve also never bought gold and only know of a few that do or did.

por que no los dos?

all of it should receive backlash to some degree. at the very least put what was IN wrath originally IN “wrath classic” (or in tbc, or in classic) before going off the rails adding stuff that was never in game at the time.

store mount? celestial steed was added in wrath. TCG idk when it was first out, but i saw roosters/tigers in wrath. like blizzard adding store mounts before a token makes sense. obviously not when the lizard was added, as it was introduced with TBC “classic”, but one xpac early (store mount) > three xpacs early (token/boosts)

like blizzard let me pay you to let me xfer my characters (since you couldnt have horde/alliance toons on the same account if you played on pvp servers in classic/vanilla) from one account to the other (originally added in TBC) before tryna tempt me with a token at the VERY least, dang.

like milk money from me in ways that were actually in game at the time, because i’d actually pay to have my horde/alliance toons on one account rn.

Why you so mad. Its just a game.

imagine paying $20 for 7,000 gold kek

I was in same boat. But now that I can buy game time with gold it makes more sense to run 2 accounts because the only real drawback was justifying the cost of two subs, plus there are perks two having two accounts.

Someone leaked the net value of gold sales… it’s a multi-million dollar scam.

Of course they added the Token…

We screwed up by going through the Dark Portal instead of demanding Classic +
