I’m having this problem since dragonflight launched.
Every time I’m in m+ or raids, my macros stop working when I spam them. Need to /reload every time. I’ve done everything the forums suggested. Did a clean install delete all the folders, played with no addons, reset my UI and the problem is still there.
downloaded the Bug Grabber / Bug Stack and they didn’t pick up any errors when the macros stopped working.
Any macros I create stop working if I spam them.
The macro can be as simple as
#showtooltip
/cast Shield Slam
/cast Shield Block
Please help. It’s driving me crazy
This is not a tech support topic (crashing/disconnecting) and should be posted in UI and Macro
But I’ll start the process off by asking: Are all the macros that break trying to stack abilities?

My only guess is that you’re triggering some other overlay or setting locally that causes those inputs to stop working. I reviewed a bunch of threads about this issue when yours came up, but most of them were solved. In most cases it was an addon interfering, but you said you did a complete reset and likely(?) disabled any addon update programs from re-adding them. Others had an overlay from another app, like a video clip maker, OBS, etc. I haven’t personally run into this issue in 15 years of playing, so it’s all guesses from me.
I don’t have any overlays running and spamming the shield slam macro on target dummies with no addons enable.
It broke on the 15 minute mark.
never encountered this problem back in shadowlands.
I thought because of the new dragonflight UI and still haven’t found a solution yet.
SoD and wrath classic are fine. Only on retail
