Macroing TF with something like Rake would make it way more convenient, but clearly cause it to be used at less intelligent times vis-a-vis energy and snapshotting.
The question is, how much DPS is lost due to this huge increase in convenience and would it be worth it?
I’d almost rather macro it to everything just so it gets used closer to on cooldown.
That said, as always, I do not recommend macroing important spells in sub-optimal ways.
This is why I asked, I suspect it’s too much of a loss, but I just really would love to be able to spin one less plate.
It’s honestly probably not that bad to use it on cooldown during combat since that’s more or less what you’re doing in single target anyway. I don’t know how to estimate an exact dps cost of the occasional wasted energy or missed snapshot opportunity.
I would make sure that you do your opener correctly though. You need to make sure your opening stealth rake + rip get the tf buff.
It would be a loss if you’re using on use trinkets or essences. I’d suggest not tying it to another ability unless you’re just learning the spec. I had it linked to swipe and shred when I was learning the spec, and I gave it its own button once I was more comfortable.

The only time this would work is if you’re getting frequent kills with the Predator talent. Otherwise I would highly advise not macroing Tigers Fury. If you don’t have resets, I would say that using toger’s Fury at a less opportune moment would significantly reduce your uptime, resulting in a large DPS loss.
