Hello, was wondering if there was a way to make a macro that uses a certain spell but when you are stunned or cc’d it will use your Medallion instead.
I just drag my Medallion to a convenient hotkey that I can get to fast and easy. No macro needed.
If your asking if there is a macro that will just make you Medallion pop up in a spells place bc you get CCed then the answer is no.
hes asking for a macro that allows a button to be like random damage ability, but while stunned it becomes break cc.
which is till no,
The best solution i can think of is to have a shift or alt modifier, so that when you realize youre stunned, you can then press alt + button to break cc.
^This.
Blizz has removed the ability to condition on the debuff/buff you have on a macro.
In the good old days, you can add the line to a rotation spell, so whenever you have the condition of having certain debuffs, press the macro (for the rotation spell) will also cast the Medallion spell you want.
Well on my lock it seems like I don’t have any key binds that are convenient for me since they are all filled. q, w, e, 1, 2, 3, f, r, c, z, x, mouse buttons, g, t, `, v, all of those have shift and alt on them and are filled
I believe you can combine the modifiers as well. so shift + alt. or something like that.
Do you have a mouse that has extra buttons on the side? If so there has got to be room for a trinket keybind. Otherwise you’re definitely keybinding unnecessary skills.
If not then you might have to just fiddle with your binds and find one that works out.
Only has 2 buttons on the side, which I keybound with alt and shift.
Hmm. So you don’t actually use alt and shift on the keyboard?
I do, I listed all my keybinds and said that I used alt and shift of each.
There’s a trinket that does exactly that, automatically removes CC above 4 seconds or something.
If you want to use a normal trinket just manually do it when you get stunned, don’t put it on a keybind close to or similar than something else so it doesn’t accidentally get used.
No I understand that but you just said you have alt and shift keybound to your mouse.
I meant that I keybound the buttons on the side then I also keybound them again with alt and shift. Like mouse button 5, shift mouse button 5, alt mouse button 5, etc.
Ahhh gotcha, sorry about that. I mean if you really feel like you can’t sacrifice any of your current key binds then I’d suggest getting a mouse with more buttons.
I definitely feel like you might have things bound that aren’t necessary though
Not sure if you use them or not, but I find that I never really run out of keybinds because I use my number pad! I have mostly buffs/teleports/cooldown skills on my number pad keys (key pad? I forget what it’s called lol).
IE: Combustion is 7, Trinket is 8, Spellsteal 9, Barrier 4, Invis 5, Shimmer 6, etc.
Hope this helps!
Make some CTRL modifiers too, use less important or less used abilities there if it’s uncomfortable to use.
That will free up a bunch of space on good keybinds for your important abilities.
That never existed.
The only debuff macros that existed were in vanilla and it only worked for magic/curse/poison not stuns.
Try again.
Use the mouse scrollwheel, scrollwheel up/down/left and right tilt, etc
I have trinket set to scrollwheel tilt right, shift-scrollwheel tilt right for lock stone, etc
Yea but what happens when you fight a rogue or any other hard cc class? Just doesn’t work, all my other characters have plenty of places for extra spells and trinkets but seems like my lock is kinda full on them.
