Macro help

Trying to macro dire beast with something lmao. I use Barbed/kill command/cobra shot mainly and can not get it to work with any of them.

You cannot macro 2 things that are on the GCD together. You can macro off-GCD abilities and trinkets together to your heart’s content, as well as off-GCD things with an on-GCD ability, but 2 on-GCD spells like dire beast and barbed shot won’t work.

It doesn’t work with cobra shot either?

Nope. Anything on the GCD, and I can’t think of any current BM ability that’s often run that is off GCD

Do they not work even if you castsequence ?
I havent tried yet.

I ended up dropping Dire Beast itself, then going around it thru Stomp/2, taking Dire Command/3 and Dire Frenzy/2.
Its RNG but it seems to fire off the Dire Beast a LOT in combat, enough that I dont feel robbed or anything, and its a passive instead of my having to try to figure out a macro for DB itself.

I thought cast sequence macros were broken, hence why we don’t have TBC era BM shenanigans anymore. At any rate, there’s no real need to macro 2 abilities together except for trinkets with static CD offensive cooldowns. You do need to macro pet abilities to your spells, however.

I use them quite a bit. Actually have a couple interrupts on one that work well enough, they’ll both fire (one at a time) and then be on CD, but the CD is pretty close…30 seconds first, then 24 seconds…intimidate is my preference so I dont put it with anything.

I love trying out pet stuff with my rotation, lol.
Half the crap I try ends up not working but worth the effort to find out, lol.

Interrupts are off GCD, so you can macro them together in theory (If I’m understanding correctly).

Yeah, curiosity got the better of me so I tried this…and it works as expected

#showtooltip
/castsequence Scatter Shot, Counter Shot, Freezing Trap

uses SS, then CS, then FT, then the CD shows until theyre off CD again.
Not the best set up, but it works for my needs.
I just found out a few days ago that Freezing Trap could be used as an interrupt, lol.
