Can’t believe this is a guaranteed drop, really takes the prestige and luster away from it. I thought I was just lucky getting it on my very first 20 Piece Combo Wombo of Awakening the Machine

It isn’t a guaranteed drop - besides, no one is impressed regardless of the rarity of the pixels you use for a mount.

Not a guaranteed drop. Like, at all. The drop rate is around 20% or so given the current data, which is still quite high, but not a guarantee.

For the record, I got the lynx mount from Hallowfall caches on my very first one, but I didn’t jump to the conclusion you did. I looked it up instead.

Considering the hundred or so caches I’ve opened without getting the mount, I’d say it’s not guaranteed.

As I’ve done it 4x with no mount.
Sad.
It is not a guaranteed drop, I do believe it is a rather high drop though.
I got it last week on my third character that did Awakening the Machine.
Are you sure you’re opening the right ones?
I’m opening every treasure box that shows up on my mini map. I’ve spent, at times, 2 hours doing laps around Hallowfall opening caches.
As a side note, your post has inspired me to farm this mount. Cheerio.

I’ve completed all 20 waves twice for two weeks, no drop.
19% drop rate according to wowhead.
