You can go combat daggers and use backstab, or use the mace as combat, both are inferior to combat swords
Aldor sword is easiest to acquire, put feltooth in offhand and watch the combat potency energy flow in
I like mace and sword combat spec, with latros offhand. feltooth/searing sunblade offhand instead make the sword part a non factor, but the 3% damage on mace crits is a nice funnel for the mainhand damage with or without sword spec to prompt extra hits. In addition I found the mace stun to proc a lot, so it had a high value of utility for me in dungeoning. SSC/TK trash can be pretty awful, so mace stun can be a big help on this stuff too since its passive. I would stick to combat mace/sword but combat daggers is raid viable just clunky outside of that and not very fun to play in my opinion. You will definitely see a better return on feltooh offhanded than emerald ripper, the 1.8 is too slow for offhand. You would be better off with latros or the 1.5 mace from shadowlabs (great proc rate on that haste proc even offhanded+mace stun) , but if you cant seem to get them to drop the badge dagger is 1.3 and about the fastest option available.
Use fools bane in MH, and get Latro’s from BM. Put 5/5 in mace and 5/5 in swords, and stay that way til you either get Aldor Exalted, Spiteblade from Kara, or can afford a Blinkstrike. Then you respec to just 5/5 swords
If you are really serious about going maces I’d get something like blackout truncheon in the offhand. Very fast mace with a haste proc, its what I use along with Dragonmaw.
