The Macabre Market is an evening market tailored towards alternative creatives. It favors the strange and spooky featuring vendors that may not be able to sell their unusual wares or talents at more widely accepted markets. Illicit wares are permitted to be sold after ethical review.

Festivities! ––– – :skull_crossbones:

Guidance for the Lost & Found :: Priests, shamans, shrine maidens, psychopomps, and other spiritual leaders are encouraged to join us this evening to offer blessings, connect the living to the dead, and banish maliciously inclined spirits.

The Wandering :: This event will feature wandering spirits. Get in your monthly haunting experience!

Oddity Booths :: Vendors and other booth hosts are able to claim a spot on a month-by-month basis! Spots are first come first serve.

LFG: RP :: LFG: RP is a randomized RP experience. If you’re someone who is shy, has difficulties with walk-up, or is just looking to build some new connections this might be the experience for you! LFG: RP sorts you with one or two random partners who have also signed up for the program.

We’ve garnered quite a bit of interest in the WCP Discord, and at some point this month, I’ll be putting together a carrd that has booth details, maybe some ghosty notes, all that kind of stuff!

I’m also looking for a temperature check on how people feel about having guards “escort them” to location with some possible enemy encounters on the road. Let me know if that holds any interest!

Thank you everyone who came and supported tonight’s first Macabre Market. This was an incredible event to launch my return into event hosting after a two year break. Everyone was extremely respectful and I am without words to express my gratitude.

Booths

Dinthoqaf with Sanctum of the Forbidden, Maelyn with Convocation of Darkness, Harun, Rhoiene, Sascha, your contributions to the night were incredible and creative. I received so many lovely whispers about your participation and I’m so thankful you all stepped up and supported me.

Guards

Airen’nas, Freya, Siegran, Talis, y’all did a fantastic job fostering roleplay, keeping the experience going, and the featured fight with Airen’nas and Freya was by far one of my favorite to watch. I’m also grateful to Zajora and Llu for our In The Moment Audience Interaction Points; that was so much fun to watch.

This is also my special thank you to Thomas for the incredible DMing and fight design. You put some oomph into our chosen location, gave our guards something unique to do, and it was really truly wonderful to have as an immersive experience.

Ghosts

Oh my gosh you were SO LOVED. Thank you to Kitarg, Atos, and Prosperoh for gathering up to really bring the crypt to life. Y’all played your part IMMENSELY WELL. We were laughing and sighing and gasping and all of it. All the praise. All of it. I have no words.

Genuinely everyone thank you so much for your contributions and your participation.

Next month won’t be a market but will instead be a masquerade with interactable experiences! I’m still working out the exact pieces to that puzzle but information should be out late this week! It will be February 3, 2025 5:00 PM ST.

Had a great time. First time at such a large event in…years, and years. The sheer number of participants was insane, and a little scary. xD I loved reading everyone’s MRPs and enjoyed the RP I did get into once I felt comfortable with it.

Nicely done, all. That was one hell of a crowded event but it was hosted in more than a big enough area for folks to handle chat spam.

I wish the openable crypts could have held the booths but those opening/closing doors blocking LoS would likely have been a barrier, not to mention the sound they make.

Looking forward to the next one!
