MAC OS - SHIFT KEYBINDS Not Working

Will this also include a fix for the CMD+Q keybind which is closing our games? WoW’s client has ignored this as the Quit command since at least MoP and I’m sure I’m not the only player who’d be sorry to lose this keybind.

Using the menu option to block OS inputs doesn’t correct this, but it DOES prevent us from using the CMD+Tab keystroke.

Further, the CNTRL+Tab keystroke (produced by using Button 10 on the Steelseries Cata Mouse) doesn’t function either. I have it mapped to a button on a Corsair MMO Mouse, but it doesn’t work there either.

Thanks for being on top of this. It’s so awesome to have realtime engagement here.

Ewww. Emulated keyboard inputs. Not only are those super obnoxious to deal with from a development perspective, but unlike actual keyboards they tend to actually lack the equivalent to NKRO (N-Key rollover), which can further limit how the mouse interacts with modifiers.

you mean next Tuesday?

This isn’t helpful.

Thanks, a lot!

The keybind modifiers are still not working. This is so dumb how a single patch alienates an entire group of people, can’t even enjoy the patch 2nd day in a row and I’m paying for a sub. No hotfix, no nothing

I am also experiencing this issue. Interestingly, Karabiner Elements config did not solve the issue for me. Naga Pro v2 over USB dongle FWIW. I’ve confirmed the program is working, I can map the number buttons to whatever I want, but modifiers still aren’t honored…

Hi!
Can we get an update on this issue, or at least an eta on when he next mac build is going out?

Thank you so much. Please ask for a raise. I don’t know how much you make but you deserve at least double.

Is there a time on when this fix is set to go out? It’s not fun to play the game where I have to change all my abilities to only be set to the buttons that work. I need shift and control clicks to really play any form of content enjoyably.
Please, any update at all?

Having this same exact issue with middle mouse button. Move & Steer is completely broken, making the game unplayable for Mac users right now.

LOL it’s a link but can’t type the link properly in this site.
read it nice and slow

Seems like the developers who work / help with the Mac stuff are very active here, and are on top of things. Just give them sometime as it has been highlighted these current issues are different than the ones previously encountered in the beta; and they cannot just push builds immediately from a development standpoint.

Just really happy that they are on here communicating and caring as I had some thoughts that a lot of the issues might not be fixed by launch and they have been quite dedicated to things.

For me, the issue is inconsistent. If I press shift+4 for example on the Razer Naga, it will fire the correct spell about 3 out of 4 times or so. The other time it will act as if it is not recognizing shift being held. The problem does not occur if I press 4 on the keyboard, and the 3rd party applications did not help.

Update: I dug out my older Razer Naga that has a switch for NUM pad or regular 123. When I set it to regular 123 is when I see the inconsistent behavior. When I set it to NUM, it doesn’t work at all like what others here are seeing.

Update #2: I was able to get it working correctly by setting my old Naga Epic to NUM, and then remapping NUM to 123 using the SteerMouse app.

Ya when is this going to be fixed? It’s not working on either my Steel Series mouse or Naga mouse.

I installed Karabiner then went to Devices and found my keyboard (Razor Hunstman) and selected “Treat as Built-In Keyboard” option and it fixed the problem for me!

Build 55846 was just deployed to live which should have fixes for everything I’ve mentioned other than the Steelseries WoW MMO mice extra mouse buttons not working. Sorry it took longer than I expected for the build to get deployed.

Woo! Looks like the fix is working for me. Have to do full testing, but initially it seems you all did it! Thanks for getting this done before patch Tuesday when we can really start to miss out on content.

Currently experiencing this. Old disable-expose-fix used to work but does not anymore, like others. Also not fixed by using Karabinder Elements solution above.
Details

  • Computer: Macbook Pro 2021 w/ Apple M1 Max chip, running Sonoma 14.5
  • Mouse: Redragon Perdition3 M901-2
  • Keyboard > Input Source: U.S.

EDIT: Didn’t see a fix for this might be deployed, will double check today
EDIT 2: Fixed, thanks so much for your help with this! Leaving info up in case it’s helpful somehow.
