Like others, I’ve had issues with my MacBook Pro 14 M1(max) getting stuck when the battle.net launcher tries to update WoW. I tried the permissions fix, delete folders fix, I reinstalled twice, etc.
The one solution that worked for me that I haven’t seen posted is using a different network. My home network is a TP Link router and the dns server is pihole running on a Docker image on my iMac. ALL of my issues have been on my home network. When I log onto my friends network or my work network, I don’t have an issue, the game updates smoothly.
Possible the pihole is causing an issue for others?
I’m also running the 12.3 public beta and this release (5) reintroduced the problem with public beta 3 and 4 seemed to not have the problem. Theory two is there is some issue on the Mac side.

Sounds like a port forwarding/triggering issue. You might want to ensure your pihole’s firewall is set to allow the proper ports to be open and/or forwarded properly.
