On a Mac it has been crashing my computer every-time i try and enter world. Any know know if this has been fixed yet?

Insanely frustrating total system crash at loading. Music fades Cinimatic tries to play> spinning wheel of death > total freeze, Please fix now!!!

FIX FOUND: Change “Secondary Lighting” from "High to “Fair” in the graphics settings before logging in to prevent mac from crashing.

Is anyone getting green rather than shadows? My daughter is playing on her M1 Max Mac Studio and gets in but the world is green. We have lowered graphics settings, but quite often we crash and have to restart the Mac.
She has had ZERO issues playing Midnight at fantastic settings at 60FPS… not sure what Blizzard broke here.

Has blizzard acknowledged that the game is broken on Mac?
I started it and had to reset graphical settings to default, then was able to log in afterward, even after having changed the settings back to my preferences. /shrug
Unfortunately, that did not work for me.
Can confirm, Mac Studio, M2 Max, 64 GB ram, game crashes whole computer on the progress bar.

neither the lighting setting change nor resetting graphics settings to defaults fixed this.

The lighting setting did not work. Also cranked graphics down to 1, still crashed. Will try again tomorrow after work.

I have been working with Gemini to get into the game by posting the error logs. It’s really a graphical issue with the new graphic changes.
Instead of rendering normally, those settings trigger a massive memory leak. The game asks for hundreds of gigabytes of RAM that don’t exist, which overwhelms your Mac, freezes the system, and forces your Mac to reboot itself to prevent physical hardware damage.

I just did the same thing with grok. Found similar results. My system hit a swap cap on the nvme drive and hard reset itself.
Still not working for me.
They are going to have to patch this fix in. No settings change is going to fix it.
Didn’t work.
1st Crash - Same. M1 MacStudio 10/24/32/512 26.3.1
Had to power button reboot.
2nd Crash - Then got to character screen and had the slider 100% on way to Tirisfal Glade. It locked up, 2 min later it REBOOTED my machine on it’s own.
3rd Crash. After an update. Loaded in faster. Selected Undead and it loaded the splash screen and progressbar faster but the Lock/Crash AND it AGAIN rebooted my computer.
WTF Blizzard?
18Sep26 - Got a 357MB update AND set Secondary Lighting to Fair. Got in.
