M.2 not recognized

Alright anyone following my last post we were trying to figure out how to update bios TLDR; we did it.

I currently have it updated to the highest recommended version. I originally thought this would fix my problem but its not showing up on my drives.

My SATA 3 does share a channel with my m.2 slot but it currently is not occupied.

Bios IS updated to most stable version, some of the bios updates did include some more m.2 support.

The mobo and m.2 did NOT come with a screw, so although the card is in the slot, it is hanging (snugly) at a 30 degree angle.

Basically the only thing i think that would be holding me back is maybe since its not screwed down it won’t show for safety? IDK anyone tried to use one of these w/o the screw? (i have screws inc in about 3 weeks via amazon)

~AB350 Pro4 mobo
~m.2 is Inland nvme m.2 pcie
I tried going to the m.2 manufacturers website…and its basically a hold over from the early 90’s
ipsgproducts. c if your interested
Really no help coming from them.

Its been a few year but from what i recall you just pop in a drive and format it and it goes correct? First m.2 btw.

your m.2. slot (M.2_1 or ultra) handles the interface for NVME.
I don’t remember if you have to enable it in BIOS. I recall my x570 gigabyte board requiring you to enable it. My previous asrock z390 board didn’t.

CM2x3-3.3 should be the screw you’re looking for.

I would try the CMOS reset like a previous user in the other thread suggested. Take out the CMOS battery and wait roughly 30seconds pop it back in and see if that will show the drive.

OK, well i still don’t have the screw, but went to Disk manager and i had to initialize it. WE HAVE POWER CAP’N
