M0 loot lock - trying to farm Rylakstalker’s Piercing Fangs

When you complete a M0, the dungeon will be locked for you in that week.
Would this including drop of Legendary powers or can one still spam M0 to get the legendary memory?

Why not spam normal of heroic instead?

The chance of it dropping is lower in normal or heroic.

It includes legendary drops yes. You’re completely locked out from loot for mythic. Best thing is to spam heroics until you get it

Would that include M+? or I still can get it from M+?

You can spam +2s infinitely so long as you can find a group with a key.

Got 60 yesterday and joined the dungeon for the first time today and got it first try, is that lucky or is it 100%? I did the dungeon on normal cuz I was a low ilvl

I’ll prolly craft Dire Command first as I don’t feel like farming SoA.

The DPS difference is minuscule anyway.

Two words: Grateful Offerings.

Requires 4 reinforced anima streams and it’s STILL random.

Not worth.

Dire Command dose far less damage then Rylakstalkers in almost every scenario and scales poorly with gear. If your looking at something like Bloodmallet the sims are very skewed.

First the Dire beast will not mimic things like Beast Cleave, Stomp or Kill Command. Beast Cleave and Stomp can both crit and are in fact affected by Rylakstalkers if your pet has BW at the time. All that means Dire Command is 100% single target. In addition Dire Beasts are affected by a 35% damage reduction aura applied by the Animal companion talent. This means unless your planning to run Killer Instincts, Dire Command is going to do less damage. Dire beasts will also not swap targets if there primary is still alive when you swap.

Rylakstalkers has potent scaling with gear because more gear means more Beastial Wrath up time and more damage during said burst. More Crit means more Barbed shot procs and more crits during Beastial Wrath. More Haste means shorter Barbed shot CDs so more CD reduction for Beastial Wrath. Haste also means more auto attacks and faster focus regen. Faster focus regen means more pet ability casts and more chances to proc Barbed shot for Beastial Wrath CD reduction. Dire beast gets its best scaling on Mastery which is by a good margin BMs worst secondary stat.
The long and short is the more gear you get the bigger the difference is between the two legendries.

The farm isn’t all that bad it just takes some patience. The drop rates now are far higher then they were at launch so we don’t have the MM hunters who have run Plaguefall 70 times and not gotten the power.

Sims disagree. It’s 3% for me. (Raidbots)

Depends on your ilvl and even then the disparity is only minor on ST but in AOE situations its much more severe and the gap only widens as you get more and more gear.

This is also based on your current gear and if you have selected stats, gems, enchants towards one end or the other. Comparing the top two Rylakstalkers and Soulforge one you will be looking to get as much haste as possible then crit then vers. Rylakstalkers you want Haste=13% or more then Crit> Haste then Vers. If you choose to swap weapon enchants this will also impact your results as Soulforge is using Sinful Rev on ST and infa green(Haste) on aoe while Rylakstalkers is Crit scope regardless.

If you don’t care about the optimization and are just playing for fun that is cool. Next patch we will apparently be downing in soul ash so you will be able to make other legendries as long as you have the gold for the base items.

Just know that sims take in a ton of different numeric variable in a bubble. When you sim top gear on raidbots more often then not your running a Patchwerk, One boss, 5 minutes. If your looking at say Bloodmallet they run dozens of iterations with a basic template character and run thousands of sims for each legendary with the same character not necessarily with optimized gear. So you always have to take say Bloodmallet with a grain of salt.

The main problem with just flat simming is the fact that Legendries like Rylakstalkers heavily influence our secondary stat choices.

The mentality I brought went settling on Rylakstalkers over Soulforge is realizing my performance was suffering with the use of Soulforge. I however wanted to do the best damage I personally could do. I didn’t want to hamstring myself and I wanted to bring the best damage for my M+ group and Raid team while playing something I knew I could play consistently and effectively.

The argument there is “Dose 5% matter?” The answer is yes and no. It depends on if your pushing content or just trying to clear it eventually. If your not really looking to do higher end content you are absolutely right it doesn’t matter what lego you pick. You do what you want
