I’m running in to an issue with a few M0 dungeons which I keep lockouts for friends for, though it’s inconsistent. Basically, if I have a partially-cleared Mythic dungeon lockout, invite my friend to a group, and then we both zone in while I am group leader…we are instead put into a fresh instance.
This logic exists primarily to make it so that a group of 5 players isn’t prevented from easily inserting a Mythic Keystone to start an M+ run if they all happened to have M0 cleared, and it makes sense. However, there is zero reason why this logic should be applying to dungeons that aren’t in the current M+ rotation. Kings’ Rest hasn’t been in rotation for some time and won’t be for the rest of this year at minimum, yet we are unable to zone my friend in to my lockout with 3 bosses already down for the mount farm.
Meanwhile, Tazavesh seems to be properly exempted from this logic. I’ve been holding a 7/8 Mythic lockout for Tazavesh for months, and my friend and I have never had trouble getting both of us inside that lockout once I’ve spawned it.
These lockouts are loot-based, not ID-based, so unless they’re in rotation there’s simply no reason the party should be zoning anywhere except at the leader’s progress.
