M+ vs Raid gear gap is forcing me to quit my mid-level guild

I’m in a mid-level guild with some good friends. We can do Heroic run and probably Mythic 1-3.
I’m also a hard core Mythic+ players pushing to top 0.3% rank in raider io

Mythic+ is the great endgame experience for players who pursue challenges & rewards, and stay connected with all-levels friends in the same time.

Blizzard’s design on superior raid loot is killing my guild. I have to leave if I want to gear up to compete for the 0.1% title in next expansion.

Please give Mythic+ the same level reward as Raid. Why not make them two parallel endgame experiences so people can chose what to play and much more connected to this game?

Make a shared pool for PVE weekly rewards. Raid and M+ can both contribute and boost this weekly rewards, and they share the same cap.

M+ is infinitely farmable, it can’t drop max ilvl gear without it being busted af. I think you guys just need a more targeted way of getting specific items via the weekly vault or something, or just have M+ drop items that are significantly better for M+ and not raids, similar to how PVP gear used to be different.

Raiders have to split 4~ max iLvl items between 20 people per boss; early on especially, most guilds are only killing a handful of bosses each week. It’s not like every boss getting killed is dropping 20 pieces for everyone, and the raid itself doesn’t go “on farm” for a looong time. I’ve been doing Fated full clears on Mythic every week and I’m still not maxed.

the vault is not infinitely farmable.

The most relevant loot for m+ comes from the vault. I hope you aren’t complaining about infinitely farmable heroic gear.

I was responding directly to him saying

I’m not complaining about anything wtf lol

Sorry I jumped a bit too much, you weren’t complaining though I will stand that I take issue with the idea that m+ gear is infinitely grindable, at the end of the day grindable m+ gear is entry level gear for highest end content that competes with heroic and in all likelihood the valor cap is returning deepening the gap between peak m+ and peak raid gearing.

M+ should be able to have the potential of dropping top end pieces on a weekly timer of some kind from a source not connected to the vault because you have gearing efficiency for mid level gear leaning toward m+ being more efficient then heroic raiding and gearing efficiency at top level gear absolutely leaning toward mythic raid which ends up with more drops per week and generally better drops available.

Yeah but what I said was under the context of the hypothetical scenario of it dropping the highest iLvl loot, which is what the OP suggested

Is this OP who doesn’t raid and occasionally gets carried through m+ trolling?
Maybe. I’ll let y’all be the judge.

They don’t care. If they cared about such social experiences of players and their personal feelings / emotions; essentially their psych. Then we won’t have all the nonsense we’ve been having, spanning years lol

at a certain point why would you? They are here to make a game to make money that matches their vision.

Your psyche isn’t part of the equation because… you know… that’s crazy

Its an alt. I believe. Their main is at 2800’s, I think that their friend’s helping carry them in some keys.

Sadly.

Part of it is infinite scaling doesn’t jive well with gear progression the same way that competitive PvP doesn’t jive well with gear progression.

I agree, the lack of parity between the two PvE pillars while not strictly making both a requirement in fact does make doing both a requirement in order to achieve the highest level rewards.

The start of raiding in Season 1 looks to be very stressful for Mythic Race for World First guilds, while the M+ title chasers will have to contend with not only being highly proficient in 5-man content but also be a Mythic raider to get the gear required to compete at extreme key levels.

Blizzard, how is that not different than once upon a time requiring raid gear to be top in Arena?
