M+ vs heroic raid loot

Mythic plus loot is less than heroic raid loot.

AND you only get 1 piece per dungeon for the entire group.

Gunna be a mass exodus from this content within a month and then a lot of sun cancellations when people work out just how terrible it is.

Pretty much…classic style loot for content that is way harder…

If they want to do that then they need to remove affixes from mythic plus. It should just be harder versions of the same content I.e more health and damage only.

If they’ve removed the benefits of mythic plus it should be inherently easier content.

they’re banking on the weekly cache having a near-guaranteed upgrade ( or perhaps, more-guaranteed?) to even out the gear acquisition, I think.

that doesn’t change the fact that the lower loot drop rates feels pretty awful now, and will in m+ as well.

I’m less pissed about the lower acquisition rates and more anointed about the ilvl.

Mythic plus at 15 is harder than heroic raid content. It rewards lower ilvl gear.

eh, I don’t have a problem with it. m+ making heroic raid obsolete wasn’t great.

and, again, the weekly cache will have up to 9 items to choose from, so you can vastly increase the chances of having an upgrade to choose, which will be higher than heroic ilvl.

that said, I raid mythic. maybe if I didn’t my opinion on this would be different.

A +15 also gives a mythic quality item in your chest, something a heroic raid will never do.

They also reduced raid loot. Mythic (20 man) will drop 3 items per boss.

M+ can be run over and over again, you’ll always have a key. You can run until you get an item, essentially. . Raid is once per week and you’re by no means guaranteed any drops whatsoever, especially since loot drops have been nerfed.

I’m not doing M+ plus heroic raids plus Rated PvP in order to get a choice from 9 items. If I wanna do mythic plus is should be competitive I.e equal to heroic raid gear. Mythic raids should and can be the outlier, that’s fine, but to be LESS that heroic raid gear is an insult.

I dont get what is annoying you… you do a mythic + run you get 2 items, if on time, and at the end of the week you get a mythic raid item without doing it… What’s the fuzz? How you wont be “competitive”?

You don’t need to do raiding or pvp to get the gear you need. Doing raiding make the process quicker… and that’s the end of it.

It’ll be annoying for the first few weeks of M+/Raid being released, I’ll admit that, but considering how quickly you reach the point where the end of dungeon gear is just vendor trash I doubt it’ll be a major problem in the long run.

Nerfing loot drops was a misguided greed move. Misguided since I don’t quit when I’m geared, I quit when I’m burnt out on the game. And needing to do content more often to get gear means increased risk of burnout. Only thing I’m not really impressed about with this expansion so far.

M+ needed to be nerfed, plain and simple. It was/is simply a game-mode that people mindlessly run over and over again in hopes of getting better-than-raid gear, and it’s a gamemode that only reinforced the notion that replaying the same mode over and over and over and over for the length of an entire xpac is somehow “content”. Thank god Blizzard finally decided to move forward from this.

3 ilvls. That’s it. And that’s repeatable content that you can do as many times within a week as you wish. Whereas that heroic raid loot is one & done.

And one of those activities will result in a piece of Mythic raid loot from your vault every week, whereas the other won’t.

No, it was an effect that anyone with a bit of sense could see coming if they finally did away with WF/TF. When the gearing system revolves around RNG ilvl procs it makes sense having loot thrown at you for any little thing done in game. Once that RNG proc is gone, it no longer makes sense to have loot constantly thrown at you.

I play to upgrade my character, not stagnate. Reduced loot encourages stagnation. Greed move. Nothing to do with WF/TF. Just greed.

Honestly i run it for the weekly more than the loot from the run. The weekly gets you stacked the run loot makes the keys abit easier.

My understanding the loot ilvl difference isnt too tragic so i dont think it matters

I don’t get this decision. Raiding is such an outdated form of content. M+ is way more fun and engaging but they’ve decided to kill off gear progression in favour of raiding. It’s such a stupid decision that doesn’t make sense. It seems they’ve decided to ruin alot of aspects of M+ this expansion for very arbitrary reasons.
