Best advice, just avoid it altogether! Unless you have a high tolerance for running the same 10 dungeons for 2ish years for your end game lol.

Honestly I’ve never had a problem with it but I can see how it grinds on people

I love m+. I have multiple 2K characters, but I haven’t been able to find a steady group to push much higher.

I did my first M+ yesterday (it was a Junkyard +6). While we did miss the timer by like 3 minutes (a few of us were new so needed bosses explained) it was… not bad? I mean I still hate the timer and the emphasis on speed. But it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

I’ve been asking about this for months. Would be really nice if there was a community that focused on teaching M+. LFG can be very toxic at times and having any place to get real answers that aren’t “Git Gud Derp de Derp” would be great.

and to think there are people still speed running the very first mario and enjoy it. i mean, people play chess and poke over and over and over… still no new content for like a 100 years!

I only have enough spare time for raiding or mythic plus. I chose to raid. I wish the gear upgrades from mythic plus did not effect raiding so much.
M+ isn’t setup to learn in though. The timer makes people crazy.

That sounds like it’s a community issue then (although I agree boo timer). Because sure, you don’t need to be taught in a high one but a lower one how else do you learn? It’s like the people who whine about “bads” in dungeons but are also the ones who never try to teach anyone in leveling dungeons when they should be learning.
Basic stuff sure since you can do it on M0. But the affixes and stuff you need to see to know how to react.

Well personally I’m at the point where I just need to keep improving myself.
But about 3 months ago I just started seriously getting into M+. I had to teach myself how RIO worked, learn the routes etc. I used to tank, but found the groups to be so toxic when I told them I was trying to learn, they just kicked me out. So I went dps and just kinda watched what other tanks did.
Would have been nice back then, or nice moving forward so any new M+ players can have a place to learn without being called trash.

Chess wills always been fun, because it is a PVP game. The human element makes each game different. Speed running Mario is a niche activity at best.
