truth. you just dont want to accept it. people play this game crying challenge, then self nerf it to the extreme by expecting everyone to massively overgear it.
Maybe for M2’s it would be a cool idea. Anything higher than that is asking for disaster I feel.
People do quit the game after putting in too many hours doing nothing while waiting for a group that never forms. This game design is intended to incentivize you to join the right kind of guild that will give infinite support to new players they don’t know, but don’t join their guild, they don’t want your kind. Or convince you to “make friends” with the hundreds of thousands of surplus tanks that have nothing to do because people like you haven’t asked them to be their friend.
This is intended to restore the “community” of yore as it was in vanilla, when 100% of players knew every player on their server as closest of friends, when all players did the hardest content possible at all times, when nobody ever soloed anything, including leveling which required a group to level up, when 100% of players were raiders who not only cleared Naxxramas but had it on farm.
No, wait. None of that happened. But the dream that they could turn every casual into a hypercompetitive keypusher who does mythic raids instead of household responsibilities lives on. That they could make this game into the ultimate esports paradise without losing a single subscription.
My best friend in the game said he was feeling demoralized after waiting 5 hours per group during Shadowlands. I never saw him again.

PvP will never be nerfed to be “easy”.
I’ve basically dumped M+ as DPS because of this, there’s just too many of us.
Only ever gonna bother on a tank or healer, and be immediately poached by a guild or clique.
Nope. Delves are where they should be.
If you want mythic track gear do group content.
Do you think a solo queue wouldn’t have equally as long q times? You’re playing dps, you’re going to wait around. The issue is you not making friends.
Nope, mythic gear drops and tokens in delves is needed.

Nah. Delves are way too easy for myth track gear.
Obviously that would never happen because all the folks asking would 100% be 5K IO if they weren’t being gatekept by elitists.
They just need a queue to give them the chance because they aren’t willing to start a group and just take anyone who applies.

People are still stuck on M+ = Gear instead of it just being for a mount you’ll never use anyway now.
Doesn’t mean they can’t make them harder.
If it can be pugged, it can be queued.
For raids, lower the party size to 10 and make sure the groups comes sorted. No more all tanks/healers in 1 group.

None of this will fix the fact that theres not enough healers/tanks vs. dps. As a tank I would also never use this, I’m not doing keys without being able to pick players/specs.
If they somehow make it so people play tank/healer more then that will help, but that probably won’t happen. Make yourself more desirable somehow. Good DPS get noticed just like good tanks and healers do, and I know multiple dps who have solo pugged up to 2500+ in the last two weeks.
If someone really performs well and helps the team and is positive I immediately try to add them and play with them, M+ and higher-end wow in general is a largely social/networking endeavor and more or less meritocratic (despite people wanting to believe the contrary), you have to do the work. I agree that long dps waits are annoying but there just isn’t anything thats going to change that. You have to play around it just like you play around everything else.

Start a group and set your role as tank. Just so you can see exactly how much dps there is. You will have your mind blown. My brother and I play tank / healer. Once we list a group within about 1 minute we have easily 50+ applicants.
Those people would probably figure out pretty quickly that they can get better groups just as fast with premades.
People are complaining now about not being too hard now.
So no if you want mythic track content then do some group content that awards it.
