Can anyone explain to me how I finish a 9 Dawnbreaker yesterday and 3-chested it…and the M+ tab shows my “best run” in DB as…a 3?!
It’s just one of many bugs that has been present since launch of this season.
The same happens to me.
Don’t worry, it doesn’t actually affect your mythic plus rating - it’s just a visual bug for your mythic plus tab.

Seems fine to me.
‘Best run’ seems like it’s heavily over-valuing time above key level.
If I had to guess, it’s because everything devs do is a rush job and didn’t properly adjust that tooltip after the key squish changed scoring. It thinks you’re still in lil baby keys.

When I was looking at that data I figured it only counts time and nothing else, which is pointless. Idk if it’s by design.
I believe it’s just taking the fastest run.
As others have said, it’s probably just taking the fastest run. It becomes much more difficult in higher keys to go below lower keys because in lower keys things just fall over with no effort while the margins get thinner and thinner the higher up you go.
It is not just lowest time, because I’ve had some ripping turbo speed runs through +5s carrying guildies and those are not getting listed as ‘best run’.
Checked RIO, and the time shown on the ‘best run’ tooltip isn’t even the fastest run at that key level. It’s flat-out wrong by any metric whatsoever.
Why doesn’t it just read… the actual score for that slot? Because everything has to be band-aids on top of band-aids on top of band-aids.
You probably weren’t meta so the system didn’t count it.
sometimes I find that I have to go into raider io, refresh the characacter, then under settings, refresh the account, then wait until the next day to update the raider io addon in curseforge to get the data to update in-game.

RIO doesn’t have anything to do with it.
The in-game tooltip is screwed and giving clearly wrong information. It’s so bad, I imagine anyone who does keys frequently can catch it being wrong. RIO works better than the actual game.
Mythic Plus is like common core math. It arrives at its own conclusion.
