M rated version of wow

What would it be like? Will it ever happen? Diablo still rakes money in and theres gore all over the floor.

I’d imagine it would be more mature, but only as mature as it needs to be. It won’t go overboard like having Nudity or excessive cursing.

DKs and Forsaken would have much more in depth stories.

Sylvanas would be called a ‘b-tch’ a lot more often.

WoW is already capable of being pretty dark without an M rating. It would probably be the same just more explicit.

ya we do ride the line pretty heavily but if we tippy toe a lil further we could see something pretty intense.

right now we have toys to chop up dead bodies.
Thats pretty line riding.

I feel like we would just get more screen time dedicated to stuff that happens mostly off-screen currently. We know torture and similar things happen, we just currently only see the aftermath of it.

Have you seen WoW fanart on rule 34?

There would definately be nudity. There’s already succubi, and BE slaves waiting in royal bedrooms (black temple) in the game.

There would be a lot of gore in WoW conflicts. Body parts flying everywhere as healers begin to resurrect people, only to have them being blown up the second they respawn. There’s a lot of potential in rating a game as M. Anything goes basically.

This story mostly sucks, it’s flat and boring and kind of like a kids show.

Go full Game of Thrones, heads on pikes, sex scandals and colorful characters with real emotion and human problems.

I’m sorry but to say this story is good is an extreme overstatement.

there’s plenty of gore in wow. Severed heads, blood, drustvar stitched monsters, abominations with hanging stomach, entire WOTLK, Nazmir blood fountains.

Give it modern graphics and it would look like doom eternal

remember when garrosh said your bodies will mount the spikes of orgrimar ? Gosh that would be insane to witness. The whole korkron war crimes would be madness.

That doesn’t have to be a bad thing - the writing in those can be creative and bombastic, and sometimes even have some sense of internal consistency behind it.

I don’t think we’re even getting kids-show level writing right now - it feels very by the numbers. More Days of Our Lives than anything.

As for an M rating - I’m honestly surprised it isn’t already there. The only thing really holding it back is probably the super stylized art at this point.

gore has nothing to do with “M” rating, you can have gore in “teen” rating I mean look at how many times I have had to turn in someones head for a quest
the “M” means that along with gore there is sexual content and may not be suitable for under 17

Doom Eternal is rated M and I don’t think there is any sexual content at all.

I mean you’re not wrong, but also kind of wrong too.

" rated M ( Mature ) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content, and/or strong language."

TEEN Content is generally suitable for ages 13 and up. May contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling and/or infrequent use of strong language.

so as you can see the only real difference is “sexual content”

wait a moment
in that other version of wow. is that toy even in game or does it turn people into loafs of bread?

if you eat the bread
 is that canablism?

I think that depends on if the bread was made from the same species
like if it was an orc i dont think a Vulpera would have an issue.

or if it was a tauren i don’t think a Blood elf would notice a difference ;D

would you be able to tell the diff between each races?

The last thing this game needs is the freedom of the devs to add sexual content. Can you imagine a Kul’tiran love scene?

Edit: Or gnomes! shudder
