M+ rando queue

instead of putting your key into LFG custom group thing,

you should be able to put your key into a “group finder” keystone, where it just parties you with randoms. but functions like the dungeon queue.
so if you’re just not getting help forever because of IO/ilvl or w.e BS metric people use to keep you from having fun and being included, then with the random queue, you can entice people to give your dude a chance, as the queue will offer tank bags or w.e if you’re too long in the queue waiting for help.

like I can get KSH no problem If I grind it out, but for some grinding it out isn’t even possible. as no one wants to go into a key with a dude at 580 ilvl. and you can’t get crests to get past 580 ilvl. go figure.

What if it’s not fun for others to group with your class? are they not allowed to play how they want for their $15? Nobody owes you a group.

yeah if its not fun, then no one is telling you to queue up in the random queue.
for some queuing up to help randoms is more of a financial thing, as altruism is dead in wow.

How about no, I want to be able to vet if little timmy know how to use a health pot and defensive, no ty to rando groups I didn’t choose.

and once again. no one is making you click “random queue”. you can vet little timmy all you want in your key, this is an option for those who don’t wanna waste time waiting on someone to apply to their key for 2+ hours.

Post-squish heroics are effectively “old low keys,” so queueable. Players don’t want to accept that because branding, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

M+ Isn’t intended as a PUG mode any more. It’s not the “everyone mode” any more. That’s delves. The M+ “later goals” are intended, for most players, to be attained in a premade, in comms, with friends who will laugh at wipes and accept their ceiling for the week.

They won’t say this in interviews, because interview questions are approved. They won’t do a live Q&A and be forced to say this, but it’s plain as day that the squish was meant to redefine these modes. It was just badly communicated.

No bro, just no.

I guess. I imagine with filters on it it will be a long wait.

If it’s the full pool of players for that one key level then I think it will ‘run’ but will be a significantly more painful system than we have now.

Whose keystone is used? How does it fill the group slots? Is there an agreement you sign that you won’t complain about your group or difficulty on the forums? Vote kick still here?

Also, most importantly: Does it come with spectator mode to watch the disaster play out?

the person who clicks the “flag” option in the dungeon queue, is whos keys will be used.
and if too many people are pushing their own keys, well… dps bags are a thing, if extremely rare.

Wouldn’t mind that being an option.

But it would probably produce horrendous results.

All the experienced and geared players would probably gravitate to custom groups leaving a motley crew in the random queue.

yes, to a point. but also no.

I go in and scoop up tank/healer needed when ever I see em in dungeon finder or w.e.

those bags are worth 10k… some people know this. others don’t.

now if you can get a 10k bag, plus a chance at epic shards? its totally worth it for someone who overgears the place horribly.

This would actually be an incredible feature just in general.

‘Waiting for a group to invite/reject you or for PvP to pop?’ With a button watch a key live.

People complain about people leaving M+, and you want to implement a random queue for it? Okay, that will help… lol

Except you can carry a heroic as a tank with a reasonably decent skill level. You aren’t soloing a +5 while your group drop the sphere of darkness cast directly into a wall at point-blank range in Dawnbreaker.

Why would a tank or healer ever do this though? They would be willingly participating in a worse group than manual group finder.

Its gonna be a 5 hour dps queue then one of the worse dungeon runs ever. With the forums then flooded with complaints that m+ is too hard, even during easy season.

yeah but even if you grind it out. 10k plus some shards.
no tank has a reason to stick thru some dudes bricked key, as it is. but with 10k loot bag… id stick around. even dying from full armor to red is only like 800g or so.

You’re probably not sticking around when people leave because it’s not getting cleared though

What will you do to incentivize tanks to join a RNG queue, when they can form their own group and can select what dps/healer they want?

The biggest bottleneck is tanks, not healers or DPS.

same reason for tanks. healer bags. like for the selfish dude who just has that “I got mine screw you” mentality, this won’t change anything for them, because they won’t be queueing anyways.

but for the dude whos willing to help some randos out but wants to be compensated? why not?
