Yeah, and everybody’s already out crests and score for failing to time the key, or just score for failing to beat a previous time. Depletion is just punishment for the person who trusted the group with their keystone.
Like I said, I disagree, I think it’s punishing enough, and I doubt we’re going to be able to convince each other of anything so have a good one.
It’s a massive W.
Smoothing out 11-12 by a 12% jump instead of 20% is big.
Keys not depleting lower than a 12 w/ the achieve is big.
Really great changes overall.
The stated change only applies to keys at +12 or higher, so how does this in any way make it “easier” to progress from +11 to +12 (since that transition difficulty is unchanged)?
Edit:
Ok this makes sense…
2850 is like…4 12s timed.
So I guess it helps slightly.
but not much.
Real issue will be 10s if keys truly do not deplete.
Unqualified alt carries might just lead to excessive vetting.
And people want to rush to 13s to avoid the bads.
Punishing enough to get marginally fewer crests rofl? That’s nothing. If you’re there for crests in particular it’s even more nothing. And you quite literally are not out score.
The system already uses a high water mark for your overall score. Key depletions are already capped at 1, while you can leapfrog up to 2 additional tiers with a good enough run. You also still get 100% of the gear.
And of course the punishment impacts the key holder the most. It’s their key. They also get most of the benefit of a successful run.
This really should have been made a scaling achievement.
If you have A rating it won’t deplete below X
If you have B rating it won’t deplete below Y
If you have C rating it won’t deplete below Z
I’ll call it a good first step, but a stumble out of the starting gate.
I’d rather have a 3 charge system for all keystones.
Not depleting lower keys would make the rewards a bit too easy to farm.
I would also like 2-3 charges for all keys in addition to this update.
2 charges seem great.
First run to experience how scaling impacts the key.
Second run to apply the lessons.
Not Even Close exists, but that’s not a real substitute for live environment.
They should apply this to ksm and ksh for the respective key levels.
M+ pushing made easier for keys range who aren’t anywhere close push level.
