In my opinion M+ needs to be changed for the up coming expansion. The affixes with the most impact are the ones that are negatively looked upon.
Having ‘push’ weeks is enough to tell you people don’t want negative affixes. There are enough required interrupts and crowd control required in the dungeon themselves. The constant argument I’ve seen against depletes is “there needs to be a punishment” but I think not timing the key is enough punishment in itself.
My suggestion is to remove the secondary affixes and only have a seasonal. It would make certain specs not so required and is enough to keep it fresh if done correctly.
Another change I would suggest is to make Keystones universal with no depletes.
M+ depletes makes joining a pug group more difficult if you aren’t a top 5 spec.
By universal keystones I mean making them available to any of the dungeons in that seasons pool so people can avoid dungeons they don’t enjoy as much and play the dungeons they like or want a certain item.
This is my take for M+ and something I’d love to see happen. Having more freedom and less focus on third party affixes and more focus on the dungeon mechanics themselves.

Well, its the party lead’s decision (or whoever has the key) if they want to swap people in. But I’m very sure that when a group is formed, their next decision will very much be to complete the dungeon before moving on to the next.
Unless, of course, something unexpected turns up.
Also, I hardly ever see people swapping in new mates in the middle of a mythic dungeon. That would waste so much time.
Being able to swap people in is a bad idea. That would be abused like crazy. M+ leavers isn’t that bad of a problem. I probably ran 300 keys across all of my characters this season and maybe a dozen of them were bricked by leavers.
But, having only a seasonal affix that changes every week would be great. I wish they would have tried that (or anything at all) with affixes for S4.
Good intetions Attimis but that would be cheesed to hell and back. For instance i use my main and clear with friends a high level key and have them pause while i get on a bad geared alt to finish to get higher track items with alot less carrying done by them.
I know hard carries are done now but atleast the 4 have to make up for the poorly performing fifth.

Its not since you still get gear at the end and it counts towards your vault
The point is to add additional challenges instead of treating the dungeon as a set of training dummies. Your suggestion goes against the entire idea of what m+ is
I dislike this idea. I hardly ever leave groups, but this would make me leave more often because im not looking to spend an hour because someone went afk inside a 30 minute dungeon.
M+ is my choice of gameplay because its small short bursts of play fit my unpredictable and never consistent schedule. If i had the time to wait around and afk for hours, id do more raiding
