M+ made me quit raiding

I am glad it’s not just me. I am on a “Medium” that is a literal ghost town. Asking blizz to be honest in any way is apparently a bridge too far.

The rewards never mattered to me.

A good chunk of players can’t even do the prior tier in mythic difficulty.

So if an m+ player had full mythic level gear - I don’t care. Because they haven’t gotten the mythic achievements and cutting edge - the stuff that matters more than fear and ilvl… you know, the content.

Because who cares about gear and numbers. If 15s are that easy, then those m± only players won’t have the mythic boss kill achievements.

Killing bosses and performing well has always seemed to be what matters, not arbitrary numbers that become obsolete in a few months.

It is bad.

It shouldn’t be easier to get good gear for PvP by doing PvE each week. Blizzard’s lame approach to PvP gear is one of the reasons that PvP is all but dead now.

It’s funny because this is basically the same situation as Classic right now.

Farming MC/Ony/dungeons is much easier than face grinding AV for 10+ hours a day.

We have come full circle.

Is anyone other than the perennial WF seekers going to actually bother then?

There is no WF/TF so it’s just if you want to try for a corrupted piece.

Why are we talking about WF/TF now? You seem a bit all over the place on this.

I’ve done up to +20 keys, I’m also 7/8M closing in on 8/8M in a one night a week guild. I have a general idea of what I’m talking about. Up to +15 is at around H Azshara and the first 3/8M in terms of difficulty assuming everyone knows what they’re doing. The higher you go the harder things get. Once you’re at +20, you’re talking M Za’qul and current nerfed M Azshara difficulty. Above that? Pre-nerf M Azshara difficulty. +24-25? Hardest PvE content in the game. Period.

Yes. The people who actually enjoy the do M raiding and specifically for the purpose of pushing M bosses. Also don’t forget the last couple bosses will drop gear that’s higher in ilvl than M+ can go.

They’re going back to having multiple levels of loot in a single raid/difficulty?

I believe so, yes.

Should probably focus less on what other people have just do what you like.

I want mythic to be more of a challenge mode dungeon

You want to do speed run style, that’s your jam, select it.

You want hard af, CC needed style, that’s your jam, select it.

You want piles of mobs that continuously come at you on a timer, that’s your jam, select it.

Mythic should be a challenge of varying degrees. I left FF because I could not stand dungeons being stuck under a timer, now here we are, a god dam timer stuck to gearing.

I want a mode that doesn’t require me and 24 other people, or 39 or 9. Just me and 4 buds slogging it out to our hearts desire of what mode we wanted to attempt to change it up.

Warforged and Titanforged gear assist in the DPS race. You can know all the mechanics but that will not mean jack if you cannot overcome the DPS needed for the fight.

I don’t care what item level other people have, or where they got it from.

Play the type of content you have fun with.

M+ in its current form is both of those.

It doesn’t. It grants 430 gear which is Heroic Gear.
It has no way of 100% Granting Mythic Gear. It’s only a slight chance.

But 440 in the chest

I totally agree, to be honest though I think with the restrictions on use aswell as the increased rng (instead of just needing some levels and a gem you now have 12-13 possible affixes with 3 different tiers of power) it will be harder to targrt items.

The amount of work that you would need to do for the best piece has been increased substantially which should act as a deterrent imo.

M+ showering people with high level loot has destroyed BGs, Arena and PVP as a whole for me. I hate M+ and getting PVP gear by fighting people in M+10 gear is no go at this point pretty much.
