Blizzard, you didn’t really solve ANYTHING.
Instead of leaving, now, people are just getting off the hook by AFK-ing or DCing to TRA-LA-LA and get out of being a jerk free.

Considering they never added the system I’m not surprised. Apparently it was still broken somehow in the PTR and was never actually added with 11.2. If we see it by 11.2.5 I would be shocked.
Just did a key where, once we were projected not to time it, the tank 180d a frontal into the group to force a wipe and initiated a vote.

Yes, the system is in - and I’ve seen flagged people in LFG (it shows up as a red ! in a triangle)
But terminal AFKing or doing what Hpellipsis said is SO toxic still and fixes NOTHING.

Well, they won’t get invited to groups and until they complete X number of keys at the same level that little Mark will stick around. So I’m sure at some point if they are serious about the content, they will pull it together and get that mark removed otherwise they can enjoy the rest of the season with their scarlet letter and people ignoring their request to join the group

Or people will just ignore the mark because they knew the system was doomed from the beginning.

That’s on them. If I were actually doing that content, I would certainly be checking for that mark the same way I would be checking for gear. So if the person running the group decides they want to bring a loser in they can deal with the loser.

Then I will tell you the same thing I tell everybody else:
The easiest way to avoid a system with problems is to make your own group and run with friends and guild mates, whom you trust. If you don’t have friends or Guild meats, there’s a good chance. You may be part of the problem because you can’t get along well with others.
All it takes is finding the right group of people who play at the same time you do and making some friends and being part of a team that can go forward and do this. Tens of thousands of gamers do it every single day running with the same people over and over because they trust them. Take a day or two and find some people you trust.

Do we think they’ll implement a vote kick a la LFG or reverse their decisions first?
Edit: I’m aware a vote kic wouldn’t be useful, but they’re aping the LFG system so…

That’s the neat part. The AFKing and intentional DCing is reportable for gameplay sabotage. Enough reports and they catch a nice long vacation from playing.
Either they take the mark or catch a ban. I’m fine with either end result.

If people are enjoying the season as it stands, then nobody from that group of people would be complaining about the mark. Or the people who choose to get carried. If you are not asking for a carry, and you are not going AFK and you are not experiencing any of this because you play with friends, then you have nothing to worry about.
The comment was aimed at people who don’t play with friends or guild mates, who constantly look for carries, and who put themselves in the position of having to deal with people like this. There is a way to circumvent this entire situation and sometimes I just have to wonder if people are clever enough to figure it out.

So forget people who have lives outside wow, forget people who don’t have gamer RL friends, who might have a full and active home life that won’t really allow for HOURS UPON HOURS of sitting in discord with people across the country (and world) and ignoring the PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE…
Sounds like you don’t know what it’s like to live with a spouse and people in your life???
Not everyone can ignore the real people in their lives for a game…

Not an issue.
I was held hostage by this evoker who was a healer and kept dcing and his duo we kept saying sorry. This was before the leaver penality.
If you are afk. Sure you deserve it.
I think they will double down a few more times but I don’t think they’ll make a vote kick. I’ve been surprised before by their stupid ideas, but implementing a vote kick is never used without being able to replace, and allowing you to replace people genuinely encourages trolling and boosting on hitherto unseen scales.
