Correct. Similar to last season the first week before mythic raid opens will be a restriction on ilvl capping meaning a 10+ wont reward a typical reward. This is to not allow top guilds to grind out m+ and easily march through mythic raid with higher ilvl gear.

I feel like they under tune everything now and the days of unkillable bosses is over

that’s because it was released at the wrong time, before 8.2 when everyone had already quit anyways,
and yes, it was over-tuned on purpose because of how undertuned 8.01-8.15 was.
Idk man. Raiding isn’t that popular, numbers wise. It’s not a great design choice, in my opinion, to tune other end game content around that assumption.
I hope they design N number of end game progression paths (currently 3: raid, m+, and PvP) and make them each fun and lucrative enough that if you focused on one (and were good enough) you could get whatever that season’s max Item Level is. If you spent 3x the Time and did all 3, you get 3 times the reward.
Currently, Mythic raiding is the only source of 415 (soon to be 430) gear. But, this is Ion we’re talking about, the definitive Elitist Jerk. I don’t except it to change.
I am, however, very surprised at the number of heroic raiders who want M+ needed/removed so they don’t feel compelled to put in more than 6 hours per week.
nothing would kill off a big chunk of the remaining WoW PvE endgame population faster than making M+ irrelevant
it’s the only reason i’ve been playing continuously since legion launch, nothing else exists in the game for fast paced rewarding content on a flexible schedule

I don’t see a problem with the specificity gear had in PvP vs pve in prior expansions, I wish they’d give it back
They’re laying that groundwork with all the bfa stuff that only has functionality in a specific raid
Seems the downgrade is inconsistent
Did a +8 before reset on an alt and it downgraded to +3 now
Did a +11 on another character and it downgraded to +7 now
Going to take a lot of pushing to get back up to something challenging now, sigh
I did a 15 last week, and I got an 11 this week. Seems like is about the same for everyone.
