No, he’s right. I don’t want M+ solo. I want more devles
I said right at the start of the season…‘This is the worst pug unfriendly line up of dungeons in the history of Warcraft’
I want higher Tiers with added mechanics and increased rewards.
I’m not talking about how easy Heroics were. If Heroics was too easy, adjust Heroics, not M+
If m+ up to 10 was too easy as well, I can see adjustment, but Bliz overdid it, by a wide margin
Heroics were adjusted to be of the same difficulty as M0, so M0 was updated to be more difficult as a result, where it overlapped with much of the lower level M+, hence, the renumbering.
You can argue that moving M0 to be as difficult as an M10 was overdoing it, but also consider that we’re not comparing apples to apples, as TWW S1 is different from DF S4.
There may be many factors as to why TWW S1 is so tough beyond “Blizzard replaced M2-10 with M0”.
What are those reasons? I still believe bliz went way overboard on the increase to difficulty
Well, Hero Talents and the redesign of many classes could be one, especially if the tuning is off (which appears to be the case for several specs).
Half of the dungeons are brand new, and one of them is a revamp of an old Heroic, so familiarity with them is a lot lower than it would have been for players in DF S4, where all the dungeons were previously available in M+ earlier in the expack.
Then there’s tuning of the new dungeons as well, they could be off in some cases. (There have been several updates to address this since S1 launched.)
Oh, and the M+ affixes are brand new as well, and while they may have been beta tested, the playerbase of a beta, from my experience, is usually comprised of above average players that don’t necessarily reflect the skill level of the release playerbase.
Furthermore, Blizzard tends to err on the side of more difficulty, as it’s always easier to nerf difficult content than it is to “buff” content that is too easy.
And then there’s also bugs / design limitations. I’ve been having a really difficult time following the tank in Dawnbreaker. At first, I thought it was just me, but there have been several instances where I was right on their tail only to have the game make them disappear, like a Klingon or Romulan ship engaging the cloaking device. All of a sudden, where’s the tank? (And yes, I have the raid marker on them, but that, too, disappears.)
There’s probably more, but these are just a start…
It’s pretty crazy that the past few days looking for 7-9 keys of some dungeons like COT, GB and even SOB, there have been times 0 keys are listed.
I have no filtered checked, still nothing. I’m seeing some dungeons like Mists with 3-5 keys listed at a time and it seems really low considering we are 3 weeks into S1.
For the sake of having more keys listed, I hope there is a lot more dungeon tuning.
Never mind the fact that groups are waiting forever and a day for a tank.
Felt more mentally exhausted doing keys this season than ever before.
I wonder what S1’s mythic+ numbers look like compared to other expansions?
Someone should do a video comparing participation.
Pugging a lot less this season. It’s to difficult to complete high keys and raids with random players. Unlike previous expansions, one mistake can literally cause a wipe or prevent you from timing a key.
I spend more time sitting there looking to upgrade my Grim Batol and Stonevault across three characters then actually playing the other 6 dungeons due to the tuning. And also because of that tuning they want everyone to be their IO + 200 to feel comfortable enough to invite you.
It’s the challenger’s peril affix. Every mistake is so punishing it makes the game not fun. I’ve bricked so many keys where I don’t die the entire dungeon and we miss the timer by ~30 seconds due to random deaths thoughout.
They’re just scum for putting that affix in the game. Real awful people.
It’s going to be less just due to the basic design change of removing all the lower keys and consolidating them into mythic 0s.
Then add delves as another alternative gearing source.
I don’t think these are bad things, just basic results of them.
Add in Blizz screwing up progression with how Delves were tuned in relation to the reward.
That pretty much killed lowish keys and skewed progression expectations for many players who hadn’t done much end game group content in the past.
Yep, they basically did to earlier mythic+ progression what mythic+ has been doing to early raid (normal/heroic) progression for the past 8 years.
Just goes to show that people did M+ for the easy loot. Good riddance!!!
True, especially delves made low M+ pretty much pointless.
It wasn’t easy loot for me.
“Good riddance”? What does that mean? You want customers with less skill than you to quit the game?
How do we affect you running our lower keys?
Don’t worry about Tuwen, before he/she made his profile private I looked him up, he doens’t even m+ and he doen’st mythic raid, if I remember correctly he hasn’t even completed normal raid. His parses that people have uploaded are grey and green. Do you know what that means? That means this person doesn’t even care enough about anyone else they are playing with to increase their own skill to pull their own weight. They are the exact person that you have to carry through these challenging keys / raids but they are making you feel as though you are the person that needs to get good.
