Except Resto Shamans are not meta any more and if toolkits were the determining factor we would see the same meta comps every season. There’s a lot more to it than what you are trying to argue.

It’s fun, but it’s been hamstrung this expansion for sure for sure, not even up for debate.
Between them moving the gear tracks back, to them bungling progression on-ramps, like coming from Delves and having no reason to do below 7s. From the amount of crests you need, not just on your main but if you ever want to play something else. From the Valorstone costs and scarcity. From Challenger’s Peril.
They’ve poured on a lot of tension at once and it hasn’t been great. I do like 1/4 the keys per week I would do in DF.
I did also this xpac. But that turned out to be a mistake guild-wise, so I’ve switched back to heals.
This expansion is so much better if you can raid and do M+. Exclusively doing keys is exhausting now. That’s probably by design at this point.
Like the amount of damage Disc farts out just by existing.
I think the Resto situation was a distraction. Pretty soon people are gonna realize that Mistweaver and Disc have built in advantages that the other heals straight up don’t have, unless you’re like a Holy Pally where your instant nuke hits like a truck, but even then you probably don’t scale that well damage wise.
Disc and MW will just keep scaling to the moon with damage and they don’t have to try, it’s automatic.
I did like them at one point, but not how it is now.
Yeah damage is always one of the most important factors when determining meta which is independent from utilities. Prime example is Prot Paladin this season. We had all of the same utilities at the start, but it wasn’t until we got the damage buff that we became meta over night.

Despite MW being a damage based healer they’ve virtually never been the meta mythic+ healer so here is to hoping that actually happens at some point.
Note that I’ve felt MW is been decent for a long time in my biased view from the portal level key rat league (way below title).

What are you talking about? i have 5 titles and didn’t raid any of the seasons. mythic exclusive gear is nice but saying that you need it to push title is just wrong, get good

Yeah I’ve heard Megasett talk about MW a lot, that’s all she plays, it has been dire for them for a while outside of that season in Dragonflight before they got nerfed after the rework.
If they pump abnormal amounts of damage they will climb that meta.

Yeah M+ is the best content and the main reason I play retail wow.
