M+ Easy/Low APM Tank for trouble with hands

I’ve had issues with my hands recently and need a tank (thats not druid) to play at the 15ish key level. What would easy on the hands to play.

The lowest apm tank, I’m pretty sure is DK, but it isn’t the easiest.

This actually would have been my recommendation since the main ability used is swipe, which is something you can either bind to something accessible by your other hand, or even a foot peddle. Everything else you don’t press as much. How come not a druid… only because you have one already?

Other than a Druid, I’m not actually sure. Monks don’t have a lot of buttons in their main tanking rotation, but they require a lot of trickery to play. Or at least, they used to. Though I guess you wanna do low M+ so that could be a thing?

I guess if you’re chilling in the low key area you could give them all a try and just level them through dungeons to get a vibe for how they play. I suspect you’ll be able to form a mental picture by the time they get to level 40 or so, which doesn’t actually take that long.

Good luck!

DK right now is the highest apm tank. Lowest is brew master. Reason is DK stacks heavy haste to spam attacks dump RP, runeweapon extends is the kit.

Apm means actions not unique buttons brew may use more buttons but quite slow in rotation.

Naowh had 57 casts per minute on DK. Mordrim had 75 casts per minute on Brew. No one cares or asked about unique buttons. DK has a similar actions per minute as a standard 2h dps. Roughly 1 per second. Add in that their defense is on the gcd, unlike every other tank.

Why not druid? I put my bear’s entire rotation on a macro button on my mouse. I call him One Button Bear. It works too!

I just really don’t like bear. I have full range of motion, they just hurt quite badly doing those repetitive motions. Looking at getting a mouse that should help some, just looking at my options since were starting a new patch and im tired of bear

Lowest APM necessary for the biggest result is probably prot pally. You won’t maximize damage, but up to 15’s you can easily just press Divine Toll which handles basically any pull for you automatically. Then you have SotR, Judgement, Hammer, and Shield which you don’t have to push particularly fast, as long as you’re building holy power you’re fine (and 4pc just gives you 1 holy power every 3 sec). If anything gets hairy, pop a defensive CD.

To play some of the other tanks to a sufficient degree you need to hit a lot of buttons (Granted, BDK is mostly heart strike spam). But pally, you can literally press Divine Toll and you’re pretty much set.

id personally go with either paladin, or brewmaster. with paladin, as long as you put down your consecration, and keep shield of the righteous up, youll be fine, but it can be a decent amount of button pressing, lots of shield of the righteous pressing, and not much else… but you gain access to an AoE Taunt via final stand, and threat is pretty solid on paladin from the start.

Brewmaster might be the better choice if you are looking for less buttons to press overall. you keep shuffle up just by pressing your dps buttons, and you also have an aoe taunt via statue, and as long as the healer isnt garbage, keeping you alive in 15’s will be no problem. give them both a try and pick whichever you feel fits your playstyle more, and if you end up picking paladin, I main paladin, can shoot me a message anytime for any sort of advice, or any macros that might help with the hand issue,
