M+ difficulty needs to change, for the sake of the system as a whole

M+ is the best dungeon system in any MMO whatsoever. But this season feels awful as someone who doesn’t have a full group to consistently play with, as the mistakes of a single player can ruin a key, making me less likely to invite anyone who isn’t already full accomplished with a 100% chance of not screwing up even once. That’s the entire problem with the season, and that has been felt throughout, pushing doesn’t feel rewarding, and other players mistakes are amplified creating anger and friction where there realistically should be learning and forgiveness. It’s a simple rule that this season if you want your key to succeed, you do not invite anyone who hasn’t already completed it, regardless of the level, so anyone trying to push will never be invited.

This season sucks exclusively for this reason, the rest of the affixes are fine and creative, people were complaining about the gearing but what they were really feeling was that the season wasn’t compelling enough for them to continue playing long enough to get full geared.

If the key holder continues to be punished as hard as they are for the mistakes of a random invitee, there’s unfortunately no way for me to enjoy my favorite MMO system anymore and will likely unsub.

So this is a “key deplete” thread?

Ok.

You fine with getting 0 loot/crests, etc if key is untimed?

At some point it should be expected that a premade group is suggested and vastly superior for progression.

Yes that’s how it’s always gone. That’s not new to this season.

If I have a choice between a guy who has never timed the dungeon on a 10 and the guy who has timed it on 12 I’m choosing the 12 guy.

Welcome to the multiplayer game, make a group to regularly play with because this will always be the case.

Oof, that is a very damning way to start.

It does sound like a “key deplete” thread, doesn’t it? These are not new issues. What’s new is the squish (old +20 is the new +10) and of course the seasonal affixes, but key depletion was always a thing. One person absolutely bricking your key was always a thing.

Not inviting people unless they out-gear and have already completed was always a thing once we’re late into the season.

Saying what other people are "really’ complaining about… like did you write your psych thesis on this because I think without an unbiased survey that was run through rigorous statistical analysis you have no idea what others are “really” complaining about.

I’ve seen plenty of complaints about this season’s affixes relative to previous affixes they’ve thrown at us, but I’m not going to make some claim that “affixes are fine, here’s the real problem,” without some objective evidence to back that up… otherwise it’s like your assertion; pure speculation and opinion.

If M+ is the only reason to play and it’s as flawed as you say, I’d un-sub too. Hopefully your next game is even more enjoyable than WoW (which I guess has become not so enjoyable for you of late).

The punishment used to be worse.

Hard to say how Mythic+ is doing until we start seeing numbers for next season. Last week only a little less then 640k keys were ran which is only slightly ahead of Dragonflight S4 around the same time. Funny enough, that is way behind Shadowlands S1 but that could be lockdown related lol.

Like this didn’t happen before. Group content has always been able to be botched by anyone in the group not just you

I just think everything has too much HP, that’s it. It would be such a different game if they cut every enemies HP by like 30%.

Play with better dps. Ones that do more than 30% more.

The only fight that feels like it lasts too long so far is E.D.N.A.

Yes, it’d be insanely easier.
Quit asking for free stuff to be handed to you, Liolang.

Ah well people make mistakes, and your mistake is assuming that someone who has cleared content will not make a mistake

I forgot to use bloodlust because usually someone else takes care of it.

there needs to be addon where it hides the timer. i think whenever people see it they get stressed out and start to put their face into their hands and begin to cry its the numbers that r scary not the timer

hm, i wonder how we can solve this problem. Let’s review our options shall we?

A) Run with your guild
B) Run with friends that know what they’re doing
C) cry and make a forum post
D) remove the timer

Anything that hides the objective tracker should hide the timer as well, as far as I am aware. So any addon that does that should be able to do this.

i was being sarcastic, i dont believe we need an addon to do this.

Nor do I, but sarcasm is impossible to detect in text alone online. So… I just answered it as if you were serious.

this CLEARLY indicated sarcasm.
