M+ Declines - WHY?

190.75 Resto Druid. Obviously I heal the crap out of everything or I wouldn’t have the iLvL I do. I haven’t tried above a +6 but have easily made the 6 timer and made a mists timer with 11 mins remaining on +5.

SO WHY do I constantly get decline for +5s? Is there something going on with the average Resto Druid that I’m getting punished for or are other healers out performing us so much that we’re undesirable in higher key M+ now?

I’m not a mythic expert, but probably there is a class that heals slightly better on average that they are wanting to pick for their group.

Pug life dude. Nothing wrong with the spec. 5’s arent high keys so it isn’t performance based. Sometimes theres no accounting for how people choose to build their group

Thanks. It’s just happening so frequently this week in random pugs that it seems like something happened like a Resto nerf or a Shaman buff etc. In Beta we were by far the healer to bring for m+.

Maybe i’m just losing to higher iLvL Druids, ugh.

its probably your io, run your own keys until it gets higher.

Most likely. By this point, players who push keys are already in the 200+ range.

Could be a few things.

They could have your class in the group already and may not want to class stack.
Or a higher io / ilvl healer may have queued.
Or if it was an OCE realm.

I’m getting declined with a 650 IO. Pugs are stupid

To be honest it could be as simple as they don’t have a lust in the group so they’re waiting for a reSto sham to fill the role

When I post a group I’ll instantly have 20+ people with 800+ IO why would I take someone with 650?

The issue right now is there are SO many people doing M+, more than at any other point in the systems history so there is no shortage of players with higher IO and ilvl than all of us. It will even out as time goes on.

The other half is community perception of specs right now. RSham is better than all the other healers in a 5 man so people want that. I have 812 IO and 207 overall ilvl and I get declined because people want a VDH, that’s just how it goes.

Could be your name?

My Druid is ilvl 194 and I get declined in a +4 as resto…

Don’t take it personal it’s not you!

You are way overthinking this. Lots of groups try armor stacking and a majority of tanks are plate wearers and it seems that tanks are often the group leaders or its a clothie who is forming the group and they want a priest.

PUGging is and always has been awful and soul-crushing. I won’t do it. I need my sanity for a little while longer.

Maybe IO score as well. . and that’s just how pugs go. . .

Nobody cares about ilvl except in the first week. ilvl doesn’t mean jack and hasn’t for a long time. It’s not any sort of evidence of ability.

We’re a few weeks in, most decent groups will be looking at IO now.

Yours is only 280 and you haven’t done 2 dungeons. Do sanguine and necrotic at around the +5 lvl and you’ll have nearly 400 IO. Then you should get easier invites to some +7’s etc.

The one run I did with resto sham, made me immediately regret taking them. Felt like I wasn’t even getting healed at many points.

People are looking to push m+ keys for mythic raid. So they want the best and fastest run possible. I would say resto shammy is better and pushing keys atm.

RSham is the cool kid now.

We bring lust (many hunters don’t roll with pet any more), aoe stun, short (ranged) interrupt, pocket tank, and op things like spirit link and earthen wall totems. We are also the kings of stacked healing, which M+ has a ton of.

I do like RDruids in raids…easier for people to stand in my healing rain if I stack it on the Druid circle lol.

Same, im a 193 balance druid with a io of almost 450ish and I cant get groups for 4s and 5s most of the time lol. Like do you not want giant layers of death raining down moon powers and solar flares on their faces?
