Isn’t the highest M+ basically just meta abuse? Paladin Tank, Disc Priest, Augvoker alllllll the way down the top lists.
Seems like artificial difficulty to me.
Also highly doubt you’ve killed the Pinnacle bosses and progressed the game if you consider PoE2 an easy game.
The internets is full of people begging for nerfs lmao
smh you are everyhting that is wrong with the meta theory. you just see meta and think if you play those classes you win? they are played for very specific reasons and need to use their entire kits to succeed.
believe what you want i really dont care. poe2 is a fun game but for me it isnt what i consider to be difficult.
the irony of you writing this while whining about the timer in m+
the elden ring expansion was def a challenge and fun. higher end m+ where if someone makes a mistake it can lead to wipe is def a challenge. mythic raid can be very challenging and fun depending on the boss fight.
Eh those are all jokes compared to Get Fixd Boi Hardcore Terraria where you get 1 shot off screen.
XCOM and Project Zomboid with sprinters is worse also. Hardcore, iron man, you die you die and hard reset, no 500 attempts in a row, no out gearing anything, no getting carried.
I gave up on that Terraria challenge, that is just ridiculous. I was using a loot randomizer too and it was still too insane. You basically have to blast forward in front of you at all times killing everything as it spawns, you cannot let anything on screen its crazy.
I enjoy long iron man stuff, but getting 1 shot off screen is something else.
I’m saying they could implement pve mmr type system with pve objectives and rewards that you compete/ladder climb for instead of fake competing for io and web rankings.
Crying is a perceptive term. I’ve played enough of it through the years and heard and seen enough stories around it. I am currently watching what it’s doing to FFXIV.
I just think Blizzard catering to it does harm to the overall game I love and IP I’ve been playing for 30 years.
Just compete at the appropriate level. Whatever you can accomplish, do that. There is no mandate that you MUST push high keys. If you are being tortured by M+, either tough it out and get better or make friends or do whatever it takes. OR… stop and do something else.
But even beyond that, this doesn’t even begin to address the question you were asked. Do you think if you and 4 of your buddies picked up meta specs that after a suitable gearing process, you would be timing +18s because you’re playing the meta specs?
Can you describe what you mean by an MMR system and how it would apply to M+? The vast majority of MMR systems are rooted in zero-sum principles, meaning there is always winner and a loser, something that very clearly doesn’t make sense in a PvE environment. What kinds of objectives would these be, and how would each of our MMR be influenced by hitting or missing those objectives?
Why would it matter if they are elite? Your heavy implication is that high M+ is artificial difficulty because players are abusing the meta. Doesn’t that mean that if any 5 max level WoW players on meta specs run a key they should be easily able to succeed in those levels of keys?
