How do you feel about running the same dungeons all expansion? How do you not get bored?
the people i run with find very creative ways to make the dungeon three times as hard as it needs to be and that keeps it fresh
Judging by the fact that I am already bored before the M+ dungeons. I am guessing I will be pretty bored.
I enjoy the company of the players I run M+ with, and I don’t do the full 10 runs for the vault so it’s not that repetitive yet.
So… you pug then?
Try running higher keys the game play changes COMPLETELY. That interrupt you could ignore before you cant and you need to coordinate around it. Face pull that random trash you cant as you need a % for prideful. Weekly routes change based on affixes. Class and comps changed based on affixes. You have a bursting week better bring a priest. Grievous bring a lock for cookies.
Now dont get me wrong when i first hit level cap back in wotlk and my friend told me i just run the same content over and over my first thought was to log off and not touch the game for about half a year. But then i realized that its about improvement. This game is great because you can always be better that cd you used to melt one pack will it could of been used to melt 2 packs. You can pull more push harder the only limit is the talent of the players besides you. Sure there is a learning curve but once you get past that curve the skys the limit.
This might possibly be the best answer ever. Because it applies to all combat areas of the game as well. Just because I run around the world to do most of my stuff doesn’t mean that I’m not always looking to improve on that last fight … just like M+ and Raiders.
I really have no idea, but I give them credit I suppose. All of these dungeons wore out their welcome months ago.
Your approach might change, but the dungeon hasn’t changed in the slightest. Memorizing routes seems about as un-entertaining as a video game can actually get.
no it’s much worse
i run with guildies
I pug all of it, so it takes me quite a while to get KSM.
So getting KSM usually coincides with me getting BiS (or as close as rng will let me stomach).
I usually stop after that. Maybe the occasional weekly 15 lottery roll from vault.
In BFA, i waited until 8.3. We’ll see how I feel about KSM in 9.2. That affix better be something.
Oh! …yeeeah, sometimes guildies can be~ silly.
I felt that, right in my timer.
same way people enjoy running hours in a raid every week…
same raid, every patch
I knew there was a reason I liked you… Same. Lol.
“Hey how good at you guys are dodging because I am going to chase one of you with the overhead slash.” Now that was a time.
you have to love dungeons in order to stay in it for the long run.
so that’s a big part of it for sure lol…if the dungeons suck, i think many players wouldn’t last…me included
thankfully there’s a dev somewhere up there in the sky that is doing a great job (imo)
i should also add that adding a ladder really helps for those of us that like competition
Try it in a guild sitting where you push yourself. Its like weightlifting the satisfaction of hitting another level is truly something different.
back in wrath, i would tank violet hold as a bear, and after every wave i would take off a random piece of gear. the goal was to see how long i could go before the healer started yelling at me
never did make it all the way through…
I remember being the off tank and on one of the putricide bosses I just danced off to the side since it was a one tank fight. I almost made it through the entire fight before someone over vent caught me.
Strip tanking. I like it.
