If you are not part of the meta specs in this patch (yeah i am talking to you guardian druid, holy paladin, fire mage, shadowpriest and augmentation evoker) you will hardly get an invite to a M+dungeon, you can spend hours of time trying to get an invite in the LFG finders, you can even read on the description that you need this classes or no invite. Blizzard need to fix this or buff the other specs too, its fine to have a meta composition but when the difference is abysmal we have a problem, fix this asap blizzard or lose more players subs.

They are nerfing both Paladin and Mage tomorrow, so obviously they aren’t simply ignoring things. I can say that as a Resto Druid, I’m still usually getting invites in 5 seconds or less. I’m sure it’s probably worse as DPS.
Don’t forget that you have the option to be on the other side, being the one deciding who gets to go. Run your own key… If you have even one friend in your guild or whatever that you can run with, then now you have two different keys that you can potentially level up.

Step 3) complete key because you aren’t doing 26s

you can’t even compare healer que to dps. there is a shortage of healers right now so it’s high in demand. with augment evoker being a thing now you really only have 2 spots in 5 man content for dps. you might as well say spriest has 1 of those spots on lockdown. so you basically have every other dps spec fighting for that 1 spot. if it’s not top it’s not brought at that point. i really don’t think people who are excited about evoker have cared about that. this has kind of ruined the m+ world for dps.
Have the 23 dps specs that aren’t Aug/Spriest/Fire ever considered grouping with each other?
Or do they all just not play the game instead? Despite keys not being any harder or buffed since 10.1.5 dropping.
when you consider that the Aug/Spriest/Fire combo can clear keys 3 lvls high easier,…no. aug/spriest/hpal really make the key that much easier. aug basically reverses the healing nerfs they put in at the start of 10.1.5.
So it’s tough to pug 28- 29 keys then?
Because below that many combos of specs have done it. A timed +26 is rank 2717 on raider.io right now.
And that is a decent ways above title range, that is like the top 0.005%.
it really doesn’t matter. when you’re trying to pug even 16+ people get it in their mind that these specs are best and only invite them. even without understanding why. but they do make any key lvl easier.
I don’t know the keys I run rarely have even 1 meta spec let alone all 3.
Heck, being invited as a MW at all makes the run by default off meta.
I think people scapegoat not getting invited to not being the right class and not that 73874929 dps applied for 3 spots.
Except you have so many dps and you’ve basically cut down the number of open spots for them to 1. it’s not scapegoating, that’s just how pugs work. you take the meta because you want your key to complete.
You think every key even in the 15-20 range runs Spriest/Aug/x or something lol?
on raider io you have to go down to 130 to find the first group without spriest/aug. 188 after that and 255 after that. So i’d say that shows how you just don’t have the spots open. people will look at that and copy it to push their key.

That is an entirely different universe than 15-22 or more “normal” end game keys.
exactly, people went from running 26-27s to running 28-29s with aug/spriest.
28 was the highest run before 10.1.5.
Keys have basically gone up 1 level (also with buffs to fire, holy Paladin, Aug being good, 3/3 mythic track, and the best push week in a long time)
Anyway, back to can’t do 15s or whatever because they only take Aug/spriest…
Raider.io shows latest 5 timed so I was curious for mine. 4 20s and a 16. The dps breakdown was:
Sub/Spriest/Unholy (16)
Aug/frost mage/feral (20)
Enhance/survival/destro (20)
Aug/fire/frost mage (20, super meta!)
Ret/moonkin/BM Hunter (20)
And obviously me being there as a MW makes it non-meta by default.
Step1) List my own key
Step2) Invite non meta specs/classes
Step3) Watch one of them complain that we don’t have a holy paly or aug evoker before they leave
Step4) See step 1

i mean cool, but your 4 keys doesn’t compare to the playerbase as a whole. or represent the hoops dps have to jump to get into keys as a pug.
I can, when someone is whining about queue times and listing preference for Holy Pally as part of the reason.
