M+ bans waves have begun

I’ve only left toxic or failed keys always and got banned so yes it is they dont know if you left for a good reason or not they just looking at numbers and yes somedays the groups are just awful and very bad so several leaves sometimes. Dont like to do it believe me as long as it takes to get a group, but sometimes and sometimes often its necessary.

If you got suspended I don’t think you could be posting here. If you did get suspended it wasn’t for just leaving keys. You did other things you are not telling us because people lie all the time.

  1. First you need to be reported enough times to get flagged. Not automatically flagged.
  2. You need to have left keys at extremely high rates
  3. You also needed to have had malicious intent.

This isn’t a result of pure reporting alone, nor leaving alone. The suspensions were clearly targeted to select individuals.

And yes you can post if suspended, and no I’m not hiding anything, I"m to old to hide crap from people. I have only left crap groups and toxic people cursing and swearing at everyone or making a person feel like crap for a mistake. I’m sorry but getting banned for leaving a group is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen and this doesnt fix anything but make Mythic Plus even more toxic and awful.

The WoW forums are notoriously slow to respond to in-game account action.

You got reported for doing something. Multiple times. Not just for leaving. The blue post was clear. If you got suspended it’s not just because you left “toxic” groups. You likely argued back, were toxic yourself, and left out of spite.

Not going to argue I know what i have and havent done. But good luck to you.

Clearly not if you are claiming to be a victim when they clearly stated who got suspensions. They were very clear with the player’s intentions being a major part.

you should post in the CS forum so they can look into your issue

Can you stop dirty deleting 90% of your posts? Stand by your bad takes or dont say them at all.

they should not it would make it easy for the leavers to bypass the ban hammer

Where else would they get to practice? They’re certainly not allowed to do it in a normal, heroic, M0 or timewalking.

It doesn’t solve anything
Stop ignoring people or stop posting.

What stops people from leaving group anyway even if the vote fails
What stops people from forcing a group disband?
What stops people from forcing a group to stay together?

You’re answering none of this and just talking in circles hoping everyone else becomes as lost as you seem to be.

Creating a group vote system for none queued content does nothing that the current queued vote to kick system does right now.

You can abuse the vote to kick to kick someone for any reason, for a reason that is incorrect, and you can kick someone for literally no reason at all. On the flipside, if a reason IS correct, but the person in question has their buddies with him or just has people that refuse to kick anyone for any reason, they can choose to make the vote fail despite the person being deserving of being kicked.

The exact same thing would be done here based on a wild range of assumptions that the general public has that may or may not be correct.

So again, what makes your suggestion any different from what we already have and already is un-affective and easily/routinely abused

LFR.
M0 and below.
Their own groups.
Those are the three places you shouldnt be expected to know what you’re doing or if you are trying something new, like me with Augmentation since I just don’t play it, but I have to in 11+ now because of how low Dev is doing compared to other classes. I wouldn’t dare fully pug with a spec or role I’m not used to or comfortable with.

However, a LOT of people DO decide to do this, at the peril of everyone else in their group. M+ is not the place for you to try healing or tanking for the first time, you literally have 4 other places for you to do this, if you count LFR. Stop holding strangers hostage. Play what your comfortable with in higher content, keep the theorycrafting or the brand new role playing to your own groups or untimed content.

Everywhere else you should be expected to know what they are doing because normal/heroic/mythic/m+ is literally the same content you’ve been doing with more health/damage, and a slight affix change or two. In raiding, it can be the exact same fight with more damage/healing, or have a slight change in mechanics, all the way to the fight being done entirely differently. There is a range for raiding that is not the same as M+ as, besides the VASTLY dumbed down affixes, absolutely nothing is different in m+ from m0, there isn’t even variance past 9 anymore because every key has both tyrannical and fortified now.

Without expanding upon what “necessary” means, if you are the habitual leaver labeling most keys as toxic/failed idk what to tell you.

I’ve seen many toxic people as well, and even though I shouldn’t, I will tell them basically to shut up because berating someone else isn’t going to make things better in this 30 minute increment that we are a “team”

If you leave keys semi-often (not talking agreed disbands in higher keys), you will see and face no change.

If you leave like 10 keys a day 4 times a week, then you probably are either a bad actor or give up far too early, which is what this Blizzard post is directed at. Nobody is going to magically not have leavers in their keys so do not get giddy.

Nah it feels like we’re not allowed to learn in those. I have a good story about trying to learn disc healing in a TW recently. Needless to say I just got turned off priest entirely.

Only really works if they already have willing friends or guildmates.

We just need to be okay with mistakes and failure. People aren’t being sinister by not being perfect.

You can say that all you want, that’s what they are there for in the current state of the game.

You will always have outliers in a game that is as big as WoW is, but that doesnt make what I said any less true. LFR is, quite literally “Looking for Raid”, and is deliberately set up to be the easiest most “turn your brain off” version of raiding and the rewards reflect that. It’s been that way ever since it was introduced in the Dragon Soul raid. Sure you can try to count story mode in TWW, but it’s single player and only the last boss and purely exists so you can do the quest.

If you are consistently running into situations that makes you unable to learn whatever it is youre trying to learn, look inward and stop doing what I can only assume is the bare minimum.

There are guides. There are youtube videos. There are step by step articles. There is a dungeon guide so at the absolute minimum you should know what the dungeon/raid npcs will be doing to you while you do the mechanics.

If your only response to the above is “You shouldn’t have to do that” You’re right, you shouldn’t have to, but the average player skill and the average learning ability and learning method of players can wildly vary and Clearly what you’re doing now isn’t working.

It’s no ones problem but your own if you literally have 0 people to run with outside pugs and can’t meet new onee in a game whos genre literally starts with “massively multiplayer”, I’m of the philosophy that, if I’m not playing with guildmates at all, why be in a guild with them?

So if your guildmates wont run with you, for whatever reason, then find a new guild because without perks being in the game anymore there is zero reason to be in a guild if you aren’t doing anything with those people.

Learn some social skills on that one, buddy.

Unless blizzard gives detailed explanations for what is expected, pugging is even less worth it now.

If I join a key, and the DPS don’t kick, the healer doesn’t heal, and everyone is standing in things, am I expected to just try and brute force it, incurring thousands in repair bills until hours later our corpses fall across the finish line?

If I gave it a try up until timer ran out, am I okay to leave then? Or do I have to complete if we are 80% done? What about 40% done?

This is a wild solution they’ve come up with, when just tracking leaver stats and letting people see them when people are trying to join their key would have been way better. No one gets banned, the baddies just stop getting invites.

These are very poor examples and false equivalences. They clearly stated that there are valid reasons to leave a key. The focus was on players who leave at an extremely high rate and had malicious intent.

Nothing you stated falls under this. Even with your “giving up” example if it’s a one-off. Maybe if you frequently gave up and left half of your keys.

And none of them address what you quoted in their list

I feel like it could be even better if they just let people pause a mythic timer via chromie vibes to bring someone new into a group if someone ends up leaving. It’s such a threat and a problem because you’re essentially screwed if someone leaves (primarily if they’re a tank or a healer), or if the big DPS lad leaves.
