nope, as a tank myself i can say with 100% honesty that im perfect. if i die its obviously the healers fault.
Yeah it would take work, but that’s, ya know, quite literally what they’re paid to do.
They’d have to redo the UI and balance the dungeons with the new split in mind. It’s not something they’re going to do in the middle of an expansion.
They’d have to go back and recreate like…every dungeon.
I guess no housing coming next expansion. Shame, people liked that.
you have four 8s that you could bring up to at least a 9 and that would help a bit but in the end you are competing against higher ranked players.
Yup I learned this HARD coming back to game for S1 (for Professions too).
You will be left out of M+ if you start late. So need to put much extra effort as non-meta dps.
no we are not creating mini raids because dps players refuse to play a role with responsibility.
So they used to give bonus valor for completing a key with someone that raised their score. They might still do that I have not paid attention to it in a long time. But anyway, they could try to come up with some sort of stronger bonus for taking a chance on a lower score player to entice people to not wait for that 3k+ person who wants a 10 for vault.
What are you even on about? They would have to tweak some mechanics in some dungeons, but nothing would need to be redone to any significant degree. 99% of dungeons are leveling fodder besides.
idk what bonus they could offer to risk bricking your key
Dungeon mob count is based on how many are present.
Mob abilities are based on how many are present.
Boss abilities are based on how many are present.
Size of dungeon hallways, boss arenas, etc are based on how many are present.
Healer abilities are based on how many are present.
You cant just add 2-3 people to a group, increase the mob health, and call it a game.
Older dungeons are constantly being added to the m+ pool
The people looking to fill out 10s, I dont think there is a bonus that could be added they’d care about. They just want a quick/easy run.
Yeah, idk either but presumably they’re paying someone to think about this and they’ve tried something similar before.
honestly idk what the solution is, but for qued content the reward is worth the risk but for m+ that reward would have to be quite a bit more significant.
You realize you sound like the entire spectrum all at once when you say that, right?
Tanking and healing are different roles, but they aren’t harder and they don’t have any additional responsibility. The only thing truly distinct about them is that tank and healer players are frequently prima donnas who got into the roles because they wanted to be defaulted a slot rather than having to actually perform well. You can identify such players by their woe-is-me attitude and how much they hate actually tanking or healing.
Sounds like a great time to make any significant changes.
Oh deary me. You mean they’ll have to change the arbitrary soft-cap of 5 targets to an arbitrary soft-cap of some different number?
For the leveling fodder dungeons you can do precisely this.
Oh. I see where the miscommunication is.
This thread is not about leveling fodder dungeons. So I can see why you think it would be such an easy thing to do.
- Tanks and Healer keys don’t deplete.
- Tanks and healers get a fat gold sack at the end of any completed dungeon (even untimed)
- Tanks and healers buffed to where their roles are basically a given and they can try to maximize dps.
Your gear is more than adequate, but you’re skipping some key levels.
I read your first sentence. Your IO score is very suspiciously low (at this point in the season). You would have stronger luck collecting friends with similar scores and, more than likely, time availability.
All timed 10s is 2600, so I’d invite 2400+.
I have to admit surprise that 27% of the m+ p layers have completed all 10s and 30% have gotten to 2500 io.
8-9 weeks into the season and the participation rate is less than half of week one. not only that, completion rates have fallen.
“dead” content i suppose.
perhaps people are getting around to leveling/gearing alts.
Run your own key, problem solved.
Making your own group is the only real answer. Just because you don’t like the answer, doesn’t mean it isn’t the answer.
Too many questions and variables to make it work. Whose key does it use? Can you leave for free if it’s over time or are you locked in until the key is done? Does the group finder have to consider group comp per dungeon? Do you queue up for a specific key and level or just a certain level? Etc etc.
