With 5 man content having limited slots and the critical utility that lust and brez bring to a run this needs to be addressed so any comp has them.
Not having these two abilities are essentially making a run harder for no reason when pushing higher.
Drums either need to be reverted back to not being trash and brez given to all healers or put onto an item that isnt tied to a profession. Class differentiation can and is provided through other means than those two abilities. Druids have soothe, stampeding roar etc. shamans have wind fury and can decurse, etc.
I personally think all tanks should have lust and all healers should have a brez. Solves every comp problem for raid and dungeons.
Give shamans a tank spec to compensate

Haha is this a secret shaman tank thread?

Isn’t there already a Brez for Engineers? So any class can access that if need be, but I don’t know if I agree with giving everyone access to an equivalent power bloodlust, it’s a pretty large chunk of those classes’ utility.

I kind of like having only shamans being special in that they are the only healer with lust.
That being said, drums nerf was way over the top.

I have mixed feelings about brez since it is really just an insurance (if no one dies at critical moments, then you don’t really need it). Also, any class can technically brez if they take engineering, although it is obviously inferior to a ranged brez.
Lust, on the hand, directly impacts DPS and is mandatory for high keys. Therefore, I agree it should be either accessible to more classes and/or drums should be improved.
Personally, I would prefer buffing drums so they are slightly inferior than real lust, rather than giving lust to more classes.

The problem with engi rez is it cant be casted at range, can backfire, and requires a profession you may not want to be.

Same boat. I also think that all tanks should have an aoe stun.

But why inferior.
Why should a grp be penalized for wanting or having access to no lust classes.
Rofl i dont play shaman much, but would id i could tank. Just sounds like itd be dope
This would just be 2 birds with one stone

There are pros and cons to making drums equal to real lust so we can argue both sides of it.
For me though, I like that there are certain class-defining abilities. If drums were exactly the same as lust, certain classes having lust would lose all meaning except saving a few gold. Hence, I prefer that drums are a bit weaker than real lust.
But, I also do not want drums to be such an inferior option that there is zero chance of it being used for high keys. This severely limits M+ comps.
Engi rez can’t backfire in M+, it’s 100%.

Only if your engineering is 100 percent. Otherwise there is a chance of failure.

Oh didn’t know that part, thanks for sharing.

yeah!
give rogues a battle rez. i dont wanna be forced into being an engineer D:
I’ve used them on an alt that didn’t have max engineering, but I don’t recall it ever failing.
I’m guessing maybe it does work 100% during a M+ run, or maybe I’ve been very lucky. Not sure.
Been gone from WoW for a few years now, but doesn’t it only have a chance of working?
You could remove blood lust from m+
That would remove a big part of the group’s strategy and control, not to mention fun.

You get groups who’d be against it, indifferent, and for it.
If you couldn’t lust in m+ every premade group without a lust and pug group waiting for a lust would be happy.
I’m not saying it’s the right choice or what I would pick but it’s a potential option.
No right answer here
You’re essentially taking utility away from these classes if lust becomes more common. I say they try to give specs that need utility more utility.
Ret paladin for example needs something but I don’t know what that something could be.
