M+ 12 keys, tips to join groups?

There seems to be a massive bottleneck at +12 keys, where only meta classes are allowed to play the game? I’m a Havoc DH.

Outside of hosting my own +12, I’ve been applying for days (probably close to 400 applications if I had to guess), and I’ve been invited to zero +12 groups. And I’m not exaggerating when I say zero. I pretty much have all 11’s completed with 5+ mins left on timer/2 chested.

Wondering if anybody has any tips to join these groups (other than reroll spec) or if anybody else is dealing with this?

The tip is they want you to tip to get in, get your wow token handy.

unfortunately outside of a friend group you’re probably going to struggle getting into 12s as havoc. i don’t know the solution.

The only time I ever get into keys above a 10 is with my own key, I got lucky and timed a 10 grim batol last night with another persons key. You aren’t alone, as a blood dk I am not a meta tank so I don’t get invited at all to 11’s or 12’s and I’ve got all but 1 or 2 10’s timed. It isn’t just you, people are that picky.

Anything past ten is purely for extra challenge. Why wouldn’t someone pugging only take the best meta classes at that point? If you want to do a rewardless challenge and you’re not meta, time to form your own group.

Make your own group.

I wouldn’t say it’s rewardless, there’s the R1 title. But I understand your point.

I haven’t paid that close attention to previous seasons but I feel like you used to be able to get that title playing any spec in the past? So far, it seems like this season will be special and only the meta specs will have a solid at it shot.

The only answers are push your own key or have a premade group. Very few people are willing to take a non-meta DPS to a +12 pug.

It is for sure frustrating, but Blizzard’s balancing and community perception has caused this. There is no magical solution.

But, to be fair, when you host your own +12, do you pick meta classes or do you pick non-meta classes? I assume you also take meta classes.

I feel ya, though I can understand groups as well. Havoc does a ton of DMG yet it brings zero to no utility to the group, hence people not inviting you. Sure, everyone wants the meta but not really… if you bring something of importance, people might invite you, but unfortunately we fall into the same trash utility kit as warriors. Blizzard made us this way because the balancing dev team is a complete joke and waste of resources.
