What all comes with this 80 Boost?
A set of green gear (iLvl 174? 200? not sure)
If you learn professions on the character before you boost it, its supposed to auto level professions to 450 (seems to be broken and setting people to 0 skill points, not sure)
A level 80 with 150% flying and cold weather flying unlocked (not eastern kingdoms or kalimdor though)
Four 16 slot bags (I think)
Main professions borked at 0/0
A 72 hour CD if you had wanted to transfer or faction change
the level 80 boost gives like 230 gear i thought, its suppose to be cata introductory level
The prof thing still broken? if you boost how do you get CS to fix it?
Here’s what I got on my boosted DK:
Full set of 232 gear, for both dps and tank.
Four 20 slot bags
Fast ground and slow flight training
Horse for ground and ebon gryphon for flying
No gold
Problems: had to wait almost 60 hours to run legacy stuff.
STILL cannot enter current raids, after more than FOUR DAYS.
If there’s a known bug, someone please tell me.
I’ve heard about a restriction on new accounts not being able to join raids for a certain amount of /played but i’m not 100% sure, i’ll try to find it for you
This account was first created in 2008, no issues there. Rejoined classic after a couple years off, and had been playing for a couple weeks.
My issue is that the boosted DK can still not enter current Wrath raids after more than four days, only can do dungeons and all legacy stuff.
Hopefully there’s a fix or just a minor delay in unlocking them.
Apparently, there is a lockout on new chars entering raids for 1 lockout, so this is normal and not a bug
Ah, that’ll do it.
That means the big problem is, that fact is NOT stated in the boost info.
Just wish we new the FIX for professions bc im still waiting for those to be maxed
Same here, I stopped when TBC classic came out and decided to come back for Cata and boost my 60 warlock from Vanilla. Was hoping to level my gathering professions in preparation for the expansion >_<
It’s a ripoff.
No profession gains and only 50 gold.
ya the 50g seems like a ripoff
Boost has never maxed professions.
No one is boosting for what you get as result, just the time that is saved.
The first boost offered in Warlords did max professions if your character was a certain level.
Never bought a classic boost, so not sure the ins and outs of it. But I know historically it used to boost professions as well. That doesn’t really apply in retail these days since professions are sectioned based off expansion.
It’s not REALLY 232 gear though, its green which has a lower stat weight cap, so its worse than 225 epics
I’ll take your word for it.
I know it used to at least retain your current profession levels.
However that seems to be bugged for many with them being reset to 0/0.
Unless that’s something new. I guess that one good thing about retail, the catch up profession grinding is a thing gone by, as much as I enjoy the process its very time consuming and depending on your server, expensive if there’s limited market supply at sensible prices.
