Lots of conflicting info but I just boosted a lvl 1 with my War Within booster to lvl 70.
For some reason I cant fly in ogrimmar. Is there a flying I need to buy or quest I need to do?
Have you tried relogging?
if you haven’t previously unlocked dragon riding/skyriding for the account, i’m pretty sure you’ll need to do the DF intro to learn it
(if this isn’t the case, i’m sure someone will be quick to correct me) 
I have it and never played dragonflight. I did play the remix though
remix isn’t/wasn’t retail
Then ig you just get it after reaching a certain level 
Though i do seem to have it on all characters that can fly so maybe if you unlock it on one you get it for all?

Open up the mount window and you’ll see an icon at the top with a drop down menu.
Click that to change the type of flying you have, see if that fixes it.
I had this issue with a lower level character I hadn’t played in a while. The game defaulted to dragon flying, but wouldn’t switch my action bar to the DF action bar. Changing flying style fixed it. You should be able to change back after if you prefer the dragon flying to regular.

people were having this issue when the skyriding everywhere change went live.
if they hadn’t done the DF intro, were unable to access the change flightstyle option…
(but they never bothered to report back about whether doing the intro fixed it for them… so i figured it must have, or they would have come back asking for more ideas)

Bought basic yesterday so been 24 hours since boost
Found it, and resolved it. Found the sky riding button in my talents and spell book general tab which let me change to Steady Flight. Thanks!

so… you could fly, you just didn’t know how to select the flight style you wanted?
i need to stop taking people literally.
when you said you couldn’t fly, i assumed it meant you couldn’t fly

I should point out that when I had the issue, my character couldn’t fly, either. It was weird seeing a flying mount jump in place, which is all it would do when I would press space bar.
It’s especially weird when you’re expecting the character to take flight and they just hop in place and nothing else. It’s like picking up a box that you think would be heavy and it turns out to be feather light.
