Back in 2004 when we were all idiot noobs we didn’t really know better and probably were eager to try out some pvp in bgs so there was plenty of regular people to mix in with the twinks.
Guess how many people do bgs while level now? Pretty much 0, because everyone knows its just gonna be full of twinks and you are going to get rolled and it’s going to be 0 fun.
I’ll still do at least one BG during my *9th level. Sometimes it’s awful, but sometimes low level PvP can been really fun. I stayed at 29 for a really long time on my Rogue in TBC because I was having a great time.

the biggest nostalgia factor i have is for remaking my 19 and 29 twinks. no, i wasnt one of the go out and gankers, but I absolutely loved salt farming inside the bgs.
that said, new players shouldnt be pvping untill they know the game, and their class anyway. they should be exploring the world, questing, and learning how to play. pvp is by its nature NOT for novices.

the rewards are not really worth the time either.
the experience from turning in marks of honor is low. i dont think many people even did that in the real vanilla, but it was there in 1.12
the gear was good but it took too long to get and dungeon gear was still better
Yeah but I would be willing to take a loss of XP or gear just for some fun while leveling to break up the monotony but why bother doing that when twinks exist?

Listen, a low level vs a twink will have the SAME issue as a fresh 60 vs a 60 in t2/aq.
People earned their gear, deal with it

Main goal at 60? Gear up.
Main goal at 19? Level up.
I understand being outgeared at 60 because that is pretty much the main goal of the game, someone who put in more time will have a better character than me. People at 19 with bis gear, enchants, and consumables are something that no normal person will ever have.
Being a twink is being a bully, at least be honest about it.
For YOU maybe but not everyones goal is to just level up. This is where the RPG element comes in buddy

Okay but it still ruins the game for new players.
What if my goal is to be ‘Redridge Man’ and I never let any low level Alliance do their quests by constantly killing the NPCs? Does that make the game any less ruined for new Alliance players despite the fact that I am fulfilling my goals and am playing out the bandit RPG fantasy?
The game allows it, gotta deal with it.
Well, there are other zones besides Redridge in which to level. Don’t see how the game is ruined for them. Also they can find allies to kill you.
Find a different game then? Don’t do BGs if you think you’re going to have a bad time? Level in a different zone? Roll on a PvE server? The amount of whinging on things that are such non-issues is why everything seems like a troll post in these forums. And don’t say it ruins the game for new players, it ruins it for YOU. Stop being a baby or find a different game. This isn’t going to change in Classic.
