Low Level Bracket Twinks ruin the game for new players, and everyone loves new players right? The thing is this game is so great, that it really encourages people to get out there and work together and to fight against an enemy faction together.
However new players are given the option to go to BGs at level 10, getting one shot may be discouraging…
We should all make a pact to do at least the 39 bracket for twinking or something, let new players in whites and maybe a lucky green see what it’s like to play against other players that are of the same type of equipment. Of course a level 19 will smear a level 11 anyway… but the level difference justifies the amount of damage and you feel like if you were a few levels higher and had a better weapon you might have got him… this encourages you to want to go level up and come back… getting one shot does not…
Plus-- Lets face it, level 19 gap you have all of what 3 spells to use? Maybe 5? You’re not using much skill anyway… level 39 bracket is where its at… I think by then you have plenty of skills to deal with the other classes…
I am all about the lowbies and newbies and I want people to be able to pick up this game when we are all level 60 and there be other players their level running around too in all zones. This can deal a crushing blow to new players… THAT is what will keep our game feeling alive… esp when we wanna start and alt or something. What yah think?
No. You don’t get any xp for doing bgs. That’s the complaint in retail is that twinks ruin the levelers experience. In classic there isn’t any reason to be in a bg other than absolutely wanting to be there. If twinks ruin your experience then quest or run wailing caverns.
BGs wont even exist until phase 3, at which point even players new to classic on release should be well past 19 - though this does also afford people all that phase1/2 time to prep their twink of choice.
Or that level 13 might decide to make a 19 twink after seeing how epic it is… Or they may whine that they lost over and over, and try to get the devs to make changes to classic where abilities are pruned and classes become homogeneous.
Did they confirm if there would even be a 10-19 bracket? I remember bgs starting at 20 when I was in Vanilla. Can’t remember if 10-19 was added in TBC.
You’re suggesting that new players will have a bad time against people that have been playing for a while. We’ve all seen what this mentality has done to retail.
