Previous to patch 9.1.0, you could see both the stem and small moth flying nearby for Lunarlight Bud. However, the stem part is now hidden until you have activated the Lunarlight Bud.
I don’t know if this is a bug or intended, but either way it’s awful even with my eyeglasses. Please revert the change.
P.S. After finally unlocking the Lunarlight Pod at Glitterfall Basin on my Night Fae hunter alt… There was no loot window; it simply de-spawned. And the kicker? All the Postmaster sent me was one lonely Wildseed Root Grain. No gold, no anima.
7/8/21 Update: It appears that the issue has been corrected. I could see the stem part once again, making this much easier to complete.

Reason I regret starting to work on the Queen’s Conservancy, once you’re into it the game seems to assume that what you really want from chests and emissary turn-ins is more wildseeds. I got them more that half the times I did the Lunarlight Buds daily.

I don’t know either. The old one, while easier to see, still felt “hidden” and so there was a sort of challenge. Now, it looks like a barely-sparkling dark purple bug is flying around it. It’s frustrating. I HOPE it’s a bug. There are people out here who either can’t have very high settings on their computer or may have issues with eyesight, that makes it VERY difficult.
Please let it be a bug and please let it be fixable.

Macro targeting still works. Only way I found them.
Same. I wear glasses and this quest has turned into randomly running around the area hoping to trample over a bud at some point, because I can’t pick out the tiny purple bugs flying around tiny purple leaves. Not worth the time to put into it and extremely not fun.

Exact same thing just happened to me. Found the plants by the teeny sparkle but no actual plant in sight. Clicked on large plant to turn it in and poof! nothing recieved.
