We’ve known for a long time that Worgenisim originated with the Night Elves, however all playable Worgen are insufferably british.

I want elf werewolves.

Story

After Legion, the Scythe of Elune was infused with fel energy and rendered useless, so Belysra Starbreeze beseeches Goldrin for another fang to make a new scythe to treat the Worgen.

Goldrin refuses. He’s an ancient wolf god and considers it an insult to say Worgen need to be treated in the first place. Eventually Goldrin offers a deal. Belysra becomes a Worgen herself, and any Worgen who join her pack will regain their sense of self.

Belysra accepts, and after some time to adjust to her new form she confronts the Wolf Cult. With the help of the player she defeats the cult’s leadership in a 2v2 duel, and the majority of the wolf cult sides with her, regaining their sanity.

Appearance

Lunar Worgen aren’t just regular Worgen with a different alternate form.

In Worgen form they have the bright colors and markings of Night Elf druids, as well as various animal features from other Night Elf Druid forms. Antlers, cat ears, feathers, whatever.

In night elf form they keep their animal features, similar to Malfurion. They can also keep features of their Worgen form.

Racial cosmetics.

Lunar Worgen racial heritage armor is based on a mix of the original Worgen model from Classic and Belysra’s comic appearance.

Lunar Worgen’s racial mount is a wolf in druidic armor, but they also have the ability to transform into a full wolf form to move at mount speed, similar to the Worgen’s running Wild ability.

they dont need some weird void elf fanfiction to exist, they already have extensive lore for elf worgens

Yeah but if they don’t get a new story they’re likely to just be rolled into the customizations for existing Worgen, which would be a crime.

Can’t agree with your post. I don’t mean to be too negative here, but we need to stop having allied races that are literally just reskins of existing races. Night elf worgen would be a cool customization, but we don’t need it cluttering up the race menu and depriving the Alliance of a potentially unique new allied race.

Personally, I don’t think we need more playable races based of already playable races. We need more unique races. The constant reskins is boring.

There should always have been Night Elf Worgen, frankly, since they were the originals.
With that said.

They don’t need to be an allied race. Just roll it into normal worgen. Maybe just add the “elf” checkbox after the original starting zone is complete so you’re just dumped in teldrassil and you can make your own backstory up.

I wouldn’t mind like more options for existing races.

I’d really love Nelf forms for worgen.

I’d love alternate visage forms for Dracthyr as well. I think both would be fun additions that make sense.

I read “insufferably brutish” and thought some lither more elven worgen would be cool. Up to keep the Cockney though XD < 3

What if, instead, they added a new class with three talent trees :werewolf, vampire, and mummy. Hero trees could be frankenstein’s monster and the thing from the black lagoon.

We have far too many fur races as it is in the game, not to mention elves and you want to add a hybrid of them both, we need to resurrect Garrosh and let him clean house.
