I’m having issues doing the Lunar Preservation questline. I was able to perform the action to charge the staff thingy at three moonwells, but others seem to be broken. The custom action button does not show up.
I’ve tried reloading and disabling my addons, and I’ve tried multiple other moonwells, but none aside from the initial three work.
Does anyone know of a workaround? Or should I just wait for the timer to expire and try again?
Same here. Tried same fixes, still not working. Had many others standing around some of the moonwells saying they were also having the same issue.
Same problem, every time I get around 3-4 moonwells, further wells just refuse to let me use the staff.
Guess I just have to not do it until it’s fixed? 
Be sure to submit a bug report! It isn’t working for me, either and I have already submitted one!
The one in feralas is not working in my case. I dont use add ons
Some possibilities, there’s two in Ashenvale. Not sure what happens if you miss one.
Some areas might be phased, like Hyjal if you haven’t finished Magni’s quest there.

I ran into the bug where I couldn’t get the buff in ashenvale, but upon dropping it and redoing it making sure to do mount hyjal last it worked for me. Not sure if it’s a guaranteed fix but it worked for me at least.
Those ‘can’ be issues, but aren’t the only issues. I don’t fall into any of thsoe categories. They’re just flat out bugged. I went to multiple to test before finally giving up. It let me do 3 of them and the rest all had people standing around saying they were bugged.
Try doing the Hyjal one last. I had issues where I couldn’t use any of the others after I’d used that one. Tried them in a different order and it worked fine.
same issue here, dropped, collected again… still bugged.
No issues here, so far. Did the white crown so far. I’m just doing them one at a time.

the issue is with hyjal.
i just went to go test a second time, was saving hyjal for last.
thought i was up to the last one, went to hyjal… then discovered that i still had one left… which of course i couldn’t complete, because i’d just done hyjal.
not sure why there is no quest tracking for this??!!??
it’s pointless to try it a third time, unless i write down which ones i’ve already hit.

What tripped me up first time was the presence of two moonwells in Ashenvale.
I had to drop and restart the quest after it not working in Ashenvale. After I came here, I took the advice given and saved Hyjal for the last one. Everything went well. Thank you for those who shared that strat. : )

Yeah, it is. I had to do this to then make the crowns last. Maybe I just did Hyjal last, did whatever one was the closest to where I started.

Oh, meaning I had no issues (with lunar preservation) and had already done the white crown one. Now did the other ones too.
