How many have you gathered on your low level and which locations did you go with?
So far I’ve picked up 13 on my level 11 priest, Alliance/RP. I went into the Barrens and Durotar. It was not without quite a few resurrections. Heading for Thousand Needles next time.
Are you gaining experience in doing so? How is it?
I have some alts I’m waffling on, but if I could run around and talk to NPCs for experience it might break up some of the monotony.

Experience is being gained, but I haven’t paid much attention. Generally I have seconds to complete the quest before dying. I’ll look for it next time.
Got a few from friendly towns on my 22 rogue, but I’m currently doing the corpse runs on my 49 druid. Died like 12 times getting Darnassus.

Do you have a goal for how many festival items you want on either? I want 3 on my priest, was oddly fine with just one on my level 30.
After Crossroads and Razor Hill, I opted not trying a major city. 12 sounds pretty good from where I am sitting, bear form?
In short what’s the point of these Lunar Festival Coins?
I’ve never actually looked into them.

I have a screenshot of my 60 human rogue on the roof of the bank in Orgrimmar. Surrounded by horde. They had no idea.
When I got the Org coin there were 3 horde there but i unstealthed inside the elders light and didnt move till stealth was back up. They never saw me. I felt like a spy… like I was in a james bond movie or somethin lol

@Labathor You can get the nonstat outfits the elders wear for 5 coins each. There are also profession recipes, maybe. There are some little fun items too like fireworks, food and more.
I’m going for the outfis and will look into the recipes to see if the cost is feasible for my level ranges.
@Rozen That is EXACTLY like a spy. Sounds so fun, good positioning!
I want every elder because they each give 50 rep, but so far I’m not bold enough to enter Strat on a 49 druid so that’s a maybe.
To those who wanted to know what they’re for, each turn in grants 50 rep with all of your faction’s races. I wants a wolf. Also you can buy engineering recipes and some other stuff.

The Elders give you coins and rep. No XP. However most players will likely get explore XP on the way to find all of them.

Decided to take my 31 mage to get the coins in Durotar and the Barrens. Though the guards were level 40 in the Barrens she didn’t die even once! I was feeling strong until sitting under a tree waiting to lose the pvp flag before going into Mulgore.
The plus 32 Stam buff a friendly priest bestowed upon me on the boat ride ran out. Just in time for the unguarded coin, phew! Fortitude is awesome!
Ended up with 44 coins and 2,200 rep, I know of 4 I missed in Dungeons. The worst for Horde side is Darnassus by a long shot, Ironforge is downright friendly by comparison. Also the one outside ZG has 3 level 54 elites almost on top of the elder and it was a race to click complete before dying.

Thousand Needles, a well deserved name. My 31 mage had to give up the ghost in Freewind. The graveyard is too far away.
Little 11 priest is a wisping it to Mirage. I’m really wondering about this zone. Had no idea it would prove so challenging. That graveyard placement is something else.
I’m thinking to run my mage back from Mirage to clear a path.
Do you know of a list that has classic locations? All the lists I find are retail locations. I’ve found all of the Kalimdor zone elders but I forgot about dungeon ones.
Just want to mention the tailoring recipes and launcher recipes are BOE but the firework recipes are BOP. Also, thems some tasty dumplins!
