Most of the time I get one lumber per node, sometimes two. Every once in a while I’ll get three.
Is there a rhyme or reason to this? Or is it completely random?
It’s random, but it’s obviously not an equal weighting among 1, 2, or 3 as the result (seems more 85% chance of 1, 10% chance of 2, and 5% chance of 3 or something like that).

Completely random.
And maybe a bit low compared to the number needed to make most items.
